I've decided to have a latin night. Here is the menu

Mojitos

sweet corn gazpacho

honey lime roast pork

oven dried plum tomatoes

Fiesta chopped salad (has avacado, corn, granny smith apples, romaine, tomatoes, cucumber, red kidney beans, olives, red onions, cilantro and a honey and cumin vinaigrette)

Homemade Key Lime Pie :p

Telling us what you are going to eat?

Some of you people need a life outside the internet

Surely you guys eat better than burritoes and peanut butter.

You need to find a good Southern woman...lol. We like to cook.

It's one of my hobbies. In fact, these arent some pre-made-frozen burritos. I made them this morning at 6am. They're so good that they wont screw up your bowel like those cheap Taco Bell do....

Just plumping those kids up.

I kid, I kid.

LOL.

I tell you, they have been so BAD lately that I would be fattening them up for the kill if they keep it up.

You should traumatize them by having them walk in on you pounding father time with a strap-on.

Or the mace thing. You're capable of it.

mmmmmmmmmm...the burritos and kebabs sound good! Yummy. I'm hungry now

I am thinking I am gonna make chicken, onions & mushroom quesadilla (not sure if spelling is right)-on a wheat tortilla of course.

Made them the other night, pretty tasty...I am still trying to get use to the wheat stuff and the brown rice, well, I don't know if I will ever be able to eat that again.

Heatherrae, do you ever post recipes in the women's section? It would be nice to have some modified southern dishes. I have been having a real hard time with this diet stuff, me being a southern girl myself. The working out part has become addictive but still having trouble with the eating.

I'll have to start posting in the women's section then. Yeah, lots of the southern food that we grew up on isn't the same if you modify it to try to be healthy. Luckily, I love all kinds of different foods. I will have to start posting up some of my healthiest stuff.

Actually, the menu above is pretty damned healthy. If you don't want to make the pork, a Chilean Sea Bass with Mojo Sauce would carry on the Latin theme and is a little lighter. I'll give you the recipe if you like seafood. =-)

boobs are mostly just fat tissue.....boobs and ass are always the first to go when I diet....sucks.

I wish my ass was the first to go. I have an ass like J Lo and even when I get down to 100 lbs, it is still big. I never had any boobs until I got implants. The first place I lose is my stomach and arms.

tooo much booty in the pants tooo much booty in the pants

lol...no doubt. When I lose lots of weight, it is big and you can tell it is all muscle, but damn, just too much of it.

I hate when my jeans gap at the top just so I can fit my booty in them.

Absolutly....sounds great. Send to me anytime or just post in recipe section under the women's forum. They have some good recipes but not to offend...there are things I have never even heard of and just other stuff that well, I just don't know about. I want just some diet food that I could also feed to my child...which he is 14 and loves working out with me and will try just about anything. Not as picky as most his age. He keeps making fun of me with all the wheat stuff I buy. :) so post away....I will be looking :p

I don't have much a butt to start with....Maybe I should get implants there :)

Okay, can you please modify fried chicken, potato salad, biscuits and green beans with fat back to a 50/30/20 split....just kidding.

Home made sauce w/ high protien noodles
salad

Home made apple crisp warm (made w/ splenda) w/ sugar free vanillia ice cream

Are those high protein noodles any good? Every time I have ever gotten anything that was high protein sort of snuck into the mix has not been very pleasing to me.

Yes the Burelli (sp) brand.. is yummy and about 17 g of protein....hubby is pre-diabetic and he can eat them with no problem

Sounds yummy......for lunch I resorted to a turkey sandwich with yucky mustard and wheat bread, oh and some doritoes light. Tasted better than that damn chicken I have been eating though. I have never been one of those to plan ahead for anything types. I was bummed to find out that lean cusine was not really good for me. oh well, still learning. Never had to worry about this before...it sucks!!

ksharp, most of the "wheat" bread in the grocery store is really just glorified white bread in that it is the same white flour used. You have to read the labels for the flour type. Usually, if the "wheat" bread is soft and squishy it isn't really the whole wheat and very healthful bread that you think it is.

That being said, I'm not nearly as uptight about diet as many of the peeps here and indulge in it some. =-)

oh yeah I know I have tried the real stuff, stone ground wheat or whatever....it is just horrible. I would have to put lots of mayo on it!! :p
So since I really don't have that much to lose to begin with I have to eat the other stuff. I just try to get the least of the evils.
Its not like I eat it everyday so when I do it shouldn't hurt to bad. Any and all changes I have made have to be better than the fast food crap I was eating. Hitting the big 30 is when weight seemed to be a factor. Since I am not a die hard dietier it just may take me a little longer to lose my goal of 10lbs. I am also joined the gym and I tell you, the 95.00 a month fee started out as my motivator but now I am addicted to it....and some of the eye candy there doesn't hurt either :p

lol...good for you! I don't have much eye candy at my gym.

I only paid $120 for a whole year at my gym. The gal liked me and pretended I was related to her to get me the "friends and family" add on rate.
