I hear of people going to get counseling for having a sexual addiction. Some one please explain what this means? Isn't everyone addicted to sex?

It is not the actual act itself that defines a sex addict but rather the underlying dependency on sex defining who they are and how society perceives them. Basically a nymphomaniac with low self esteem.
