What brand Multi-Vitamin do you guys use?

mrt

New member
Which brand do you think has the best and useful vitamins and minerals and most importantly which ones has them in correct amounts?

AST's multivitamin. You can find it at DPSnutrition for about the same price as centrum but to me it's much better.

centrum is labelled crap because it isn't digested very well by the body and most of it is passed out and not absorbed

Vitamins

GNC MegaMen are far the best!!! Centrum vitamins are coverd with a wax coating that is terrible for you. Evev if they are free
like one post mentioned they are total crap.

Depends on your activity level bro. If your really hittin' it definately go with Twinlabs Sport Fuel. Its specially formulated specifically for athletes, has lots of CoQ 10 and other energy enhancers. Always take extra Vit C too, mulits never have enough.

I use twinlab daily two caps, that is about as hardcore as a multiviatmin can get... compare it to anything, it will probably have more vitamin value than the others.... just make sure you DONT TASTE IT... you will vomit.. at least i did...

YUM

Elan vital multiple from Source Naturals with liver protectors (on cycles) / Multiguard from Sportpharma off cycles.
Silibinin added on cycles, calcium D-glucarate after for detoxification.

I agree with Santo on the Green Source from Vitamin world. Recently I've been taking the Ultra Mega Green from GNC. It's comparable to the Green Source but a lot more expensive. If i didn't have friends that worked at GNC that hooked me up i would still be using the Green Source.

I really like ZMA... helps me sleep better.

I agree.

ALSO...

As far as tha Multi goes... i get lazy sometimes and not take this stuff for months....

It's fucking weird...when i do take a MUltivitamin,,i swear to God, i can FEEL that shit. I have more energy and just generally feel better.

I never really thought a multivitamin was really suppose to help.
I just took them because everyone else did.
Also, I just took them cuz tha tablets were really cute.

Now, i'm not taking them just because of their looks anymore, I'm taking them for who they are, inside and out.

I like the 1g multis and 1g C water soluable. That way I drink them all day and get a steady supply. Other than that Holland & Barrett A-Z (especially in the 1/2 price sale).

Too many to count, let's see.
1. Glucosamine Complex
2. Glutamine
3. Metaform Metacuts
4. b-12
5. Animal Pack
Just a few.....
Most of the vitamins we take are only 60% absorbed so I take my vitamin and mineral supplements along with my meals. That's because our body is used to getting its vitamins and minerals through food.

GNC's Ultra Mega Gold is the best multi out there. Its better than Mega Man.

The absolute best program is:

2 UM Golds
1 tbsp flax seed oil
200 mg alpha lipoic acid (the best anti-oxidant there is)

.

I use Sisu-One, it does not contain any iron, from what i understand is that guys should not be taking a multi with iron in it.

The truth is......Vitamins are a fucking scam. The designer GNC vitamins you pay 40 bucks for a months worth of pills are no better than the "one-a-day" vitamins you can get for 7.00 for a bottle of 80 at Fred Meyers. The key is comparing ingredients and the "percentage" of the daily allowance you are receiving. An even better key to remember is vitamins are dirt cheap! If yours isn't then you're buying the wrong one. I'll go up against any stupid motherfucker paying 40 bucks a month to my 6 bucks a month. I spend my money on more important things and I'm bigger for it.

Rico,

How wrong you are. Centrum and One a Day provide the recommended daily allowance so that you are not defecient in a vitamin. Sure if you take a Centrum you wont get scurvy, but you are not getting the best amount. GNC UM Gold is the OPTIMAL amount of vitamins and minerals. Nobel Prizes have been awarded for research regarding mega does of Vitamin C.

Buying 2 large UM Golds with a GC discount comes up to $54.00 for a 6 month supply. Is $0.30 a day worth the assurance that you are getting the optimal amount of vitamins and minerals?

Thanks for all the replies:)

Just one more question: Which one do you think is better, multis with or without IRON? There are many differing oppinions, one saying Iron may create dangerous radicals in the body causing heart diseases, cancers, etc.

Without Iron bro. Considering that you do at least eat some leafy greens, do not take a multi that has iron. Iron tends to build up in your blood and can be toxic in certain levels. If you dont bleed like a woman every month and lose iron you dont need to supplement it.

I like the Solgar range of products; they inspire quality and seriousness. I use their VM-2000 formula as well as their:
Co-q10
Vit C
Vit E
Nac

Rico you are wrong my friend, no flame here. But if you look at the back carefully you will see differences. If you look at the back of a cheap one say Centrum..the vitamin E is dl-alpha...The "L" stands for synthetic...hardly digestable by the body...also very cheap.. you get what you pay for my friend.

BTW-I use GNC vitapak..it is the mega men plus a DHEA tab, a ginseng tab, and some prostate shit...good stuff
