Facing the Year 2007

Our life goes on very speedy. Today we have no doubts that WFF-International (World Fitness Federation) is the only one officially registered social no profit seeking International Sport Organization World Wide. All other so called International Bodybuilding or Fitness “federations” and “associations” are registered as private commercial firms or even have no official registration at all though they call themselves “International Federation” or “International Association”.
If we speak serious and officially, National Federations should present in public Registration Certificate and Statute (Juridical Constitution) of their International Sport Organization they represent in their Countries. Then everybody can see clearly that often there is no International Federation at all, just a private commercial trading firm – shop only. It will be an awful situation when Governments and Social Organizations of many Countries will see that they have supported for years a private commercial supplement’s shop which called itself “International Federation” or in another case they have supported an “International Sport Organization” which has no registration at all! It means they have supported just a few private friends who played the game of “International Federation”... And they are still paying!
The official registration of an International Sport Federation for sportsmen is not important. They just participate in various contests and nothing more. But it is important when International Federation or even National Federation address the Governments of various Countries asking for support. Then the Governmental Institutions should ask their Registration Certificate and Statute and look whether this is a federation or a private commercial firm or even just a group of friends to make contests and have a good time!
America lives it’ own life. Mostly America is not interested much in what is going on in the World. Well, it makes no harm to anybody. But do not forget that there is active sport life outside America . Not long ago Americans “have found America ” in Europe (like European Columbus “have found America ” before) – Americans were surprised to learn the history of bodybuilding and fitness that was in Post-Communist Countries (and this is half of the World!!!). Nothing strange – there was “Iron Wall” separating the two Worlds and only little information was passing through. But the history of sport in Post-Communist Countries is real, with real contests, with real athletes.
Yes, there are many good sportsmen in America . But other Continents should not be forgotten too. They have their History of Sport, they have their own Great Names! It is a fact!
A few years ago the dictatorship of one “best, biggest, most beautiful and most clever” so called “federation” ended. New International Sport Units came on the International Sport Stage. These Units have no less ambitions for the future as the “best and biggest” so called International Sport Organization.
Following the decisions of the International Congress WFF-International moves ahead. There are 83 Country-Members in WFF-International today and this figure use to grow constantly. For the last period of time Morocco (President MAHAMMED ZEKRAOUI) and Paraguay (President MARTINES MILCIADES) National Federations joined WFF-International.
Governmental and Social Organizations of many countries support activities of WFF-International. Deciding from many sports the President of the Finish Republic TARJA HALONEN invited TERO LINTUNEN (President WFF in Scandinavian Countries) to the Independence Day’s celebration.
In the period of 2007 – 2008 WFF - International plans to organize big International Events in USA , Mexico , Venezuela , Argentina , Turkey , United Arab Emirates , Russia , Latvia , Czech, Slovakia , Poland , Azerbajdzhan, Austria and Lithuania .
Ending the year of 2006 the Governer of Tver Region (Russian Federation) DMITRIJ ZELENIN supported WFF-International in organizing successful WFF World Amateur Championships (286 athletes from 34 Countries participated in Tver). The sportsmen from South America did very well at this contest.
Ending the year of 2006 in Buenos Aires (Argentina) the official WFF South America Championship was held by the President WFF South America JORGE CEDALE. International Pro Fitness Star MONICA BRANT visited Buenos Aires as well.
Ending the year of 2006 the official WFF North America Championship was held in Mexico City ( Mexico ). Well known WFF-International promoters JUAN CARLOS and his wife ALINA LUCIANO worked in tune with the President WFF North America MICHAEL GLASS and his Vice President MONICA HUERTA.
WFF-International Presidents use to attend International Events of other International Sport Organizations. WFF-International Secretary SVETLANA PUGACIOVA visited 2006 famous commercial „Olympia“ competition in USA. Together with the President WFF North America MICHAEL GLASS they both represented WFF-International at last „Olympia“ giving the new WFF magazine (in English) to all present at the event. They have spoken with the new owner of the private commercial „Olympia“ contest (the previous owner of „Olympia“ JOE WEIDER has sold the contest to another person some time ago).
Some beautiful WFF-International World records still remain unchanged:
- 2004 WFF World Championships were televised by „Lithuania telekomas“ „live“ in Internet (the prise of it was about 45 000 US dollars)
- 2005 WFF World Championships collected 742 athletes from 32 countries
- 2005 WFF World Championships Over All Winners received Genuine Diamonds from „Fabricant Corporation Ltd.“
- 2004, 2005, 2006 WFF World Championships were supported by the Government Republic Lithuania.
The nearest coming goals of WFF-International:
- annual WFF Continental Championships (North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia)
- annual WFF World Amateur Championships
- annual WFF Pro World and WFF Pro Continental Championships and a seria of „WFF Pro World Grand Prix“ Contests in variuos countries
- annual „Amber Prix International“ contest (started in 1968)
- annual WFF-International Trainer‘s and Judges Seminar presenting the participants International Trainers and International Judges Certificates
- annual WFF-International Congress

ENDING THE YEAR 2007

We are proud to state that today WFF (World Fitness Federation) and WBBF (World Bodybuilding Federation) unite National Organizations and sportsmen representing all Continents with 85 Countries in total.
Different from all other International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federations WFF-International and WBBF-International are officially registered by Law as the International Social Non Profit Sport Organizations.
Most so called “International Bodybuilding and Fitness Federations” are private properties (Companies) belonging to one or two Owners or often they even are not officially registered by Law at all… Sometimes it looks like absurd: a French Supplement Trading Shop calls itself “International Federation” and it organizes annual World Championships.
Working World Wide WFF-International coordinates it’s activities with State Sport Ministries and Olympic Committees of various countries.
During the last years High State Officials were the Heads of Organizing Committees of the WFF-International Events with Ministers and Parliament Leaders among them. Heads of political parties, Vice Speaker of the Parliament Russia, Heads of State and Regional Governments as well as City Majors often were the Honorable Guests at the WFF-International Events.
WFF-International all together with a number of great International Contests has organized 2007 Europe Championships:
- Europe Amateur Championships, Klaipeda, Lithuania, nearly 400 Athletes from 27 Countries.
- Europe Professional Championship, Jekaterinburg, Russia, 20 000 US dollars prize money.
Traditionally Europe Championships are Open letting Teams from other Continents participate too. This year delegations from USA, Australia, Israel, Jordan and Iran were present at WFF European Championships.
Represented by OWUIS MAHMOUD AHMAD ABUMUHEISEN
the Kingdom of Jordan became the 85-th Country-Member of WFF-International. At the same time WFF Executive Council elected OWUIS MAHMOUD AHMAD ABUMUHEISEN to the Position of the WFF Official in Arab Countries.
National Television Lithuania produced a one hour report from the WFF Europe Amateur Championships and this report was on television a number of times. The huge Klaipėda City Sport Hall with over 1000 seats was full and hundreds of sport fans were waching the contest on foot.
The National Delegation from Poland was as numerous as never. Sportsmen were followed by the Municipal Delegates and Businessmen from the City of Bydgoscz. While Atletes were participating at the competition the Municipal Delegates had a meeting of Friendship and Collaboration with Klaipėda City Administrator.

WFF and WADA

For the last years National Parliaments of the European Union pay great attention to the Doping in Sport. Governmental Institutions of some Countries underlined that WFF-International still has not joined the World Anti-Doping Code.
In order to join the World Anti-Doping Code WFF-International is in dialogue with WADA from February 2007.

WFF and WBBF
Joining the World Anti-Doping Code caused various discussions inside the federation. There were different opinions on the matter. It takes definite time to prepare and to decide for all 85 Country-Members.
Wishing to work in tune with WADA, the 2007 International Congress decided:
- representing “Fit-Kid”, Model Fitness and Aerobic Fitness Movements World Fitness Federation (WFF-International) is ready to join the World Anti-Doping Code any moment and informs WADA about it.
- to register the World Bodybuilding Federation (WBBF-International) representing all other International Sport Movements (Classic Fitness, Bodybuilding etc.).
WBBF-International collects those sportsmen and officials who are still discussing ways to join the World Anti-Doping Code. The final decision of each Country-Member on the matter is to be made in two year’s time.
As a result the 2007 World Championships will be organized this way:
- WBBF World Amateur Championships, Moscow (Russia), November 10
- WFF World “Fit-Kid”, Model Fitness and Aerobic Fitness Championships, Vilnius (Lithuania), November 17
- WBBF World Professional Championships, Vilnius (Lithuania) November 18

40 YEARS OF „AMBER PRIX INTERNATIONAL“

Soon the International Sport World will celebrate the 40 years of the „Amber Prix International“ Contest.
The first „Amber Prix International“ was held in Klaipėda (Lithuania) in 1968 and now it has an honorable history with the Great International Sport Names.
The „Amber Prix International“ is the World‘s Oldest Traditional still running International Contest which is organized by the officially registered International Social Non Profit Sport Federation.

2007 Congress International

In August 2007 WFF (World Fitness Federation) and WBBF (World Body Building Federation) International Congress was held (Palanga Sea Resort, Lithuania). Representing all Continents today WFF-WBBF have 87 Country-Members.
Members of the WFF-WBBF Executive Council, International and a number of National Presidents took part in this Event in Lithuania.
Serious international questions were spoken over and a number of decissions were made:

1.Recognizing World Anti-Doping Code in the nearest future WFF signes a Contract with WADA (World Anti Doping Assoaciation).
2.To fight with doping in sports and to solve important medical questions WFF sets a Medical Committee (Chairman Mikail Melikov).
3.New weight-high categories will be set at 2007 WBBF World Amateur Championships (November 9-12, Moscow, Russia).
4.Together with Model Fitness and Aerobic Fitness the first WFF World „Fit-Kid" Championship will be held in Lithuania (November 16-18, Vilnius).
5.Fourth WBBF World Pro Championships will be held in Lithuania (20 000 USD, November 16-18, Vilnius).
6.WFF-WBBF have set the 2008 International Event's Calendar.
Among over 60 International Amateur Contests in various countries WFF-WBBF plans a number of 2008 Pro Contests in USA, Russia and Lithuania with over 100 000 USD cash prize money.

WHERE DO WE GO?

THE SOLE REGISTERED FEDERATION WORLD WIDE
Uniting 89 National Sport Federations representing all Continents World Fitness Federation and World Bodybuilding Federation are the only ones officially registered International Public Non Profit Sport Federations World Wide (representing Bodybuilding and Fitness).
All other subjects which call themselves “International Federation” are not registered officially. Sometimes only their Name and Logo are registered but not International Federation as such. Being not registered they have no Registration Certificate, no stamp (seal), no book-keeping etc.
In most cases such “International Federations” are private Companies belonging as a private property to 1-2 persons. Even more - often such “International Federation” is just a gathering of few private persons…
For example, in 2007 a French Supplement Trading Company organized a contest in Jeketerinburg ( Russia ) and called it “World Championship”. Is it serious?
Another private Company organizes many International Contests World Wide and many of us used to treat it seriously. But a few years ago the Owner of this Company tried to sell it in USA (unfortunately nobody wanted to buy…). Who can say what the New Owner will say for sportsmen, who joined this company thinking it is a real International Sport Federation?
Then we have a question: is it legal and are the “World Champions” of such “International Federations” real World Champions? Maybe they are just Champions of a Supplement Shop or even worse?
International WFF and WBBF Federations work in tune with Governmental and Public Institutions of various countries. Evaluating the importance of sport for people Heads of the Organizing Committees of the WFF-WBBF World and Continental Championships were Presidents of Parliaments, Prime-Ministers and Ministers.

PARLIAMENT MEETS WFF-WBBF
There was the Official Meeting of the Members WFF-WBBF Executive Committee in the Parliament Republic Lithuania during the 2007 WFF-WBBF World Championships.
World’s Bodybuilding and Fitness Leaders told about their future plans, discussed various national and international sport problems.
Every day fitness becomes more and more popular World Wide. More and more people use to attend and train in Fitness Gyms. Involving millions of people to the sport the total number of Fitness Gyms is growing so rapidly that it makes fitness sport No.1 in the World!

INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
In the summer of 2007 WFF-WBBF International Congress was held in Palanga ( Lithuania ). Many International sport problems were discussed at the Congress. Among them:

· Dividing WFF and WBBF

· WFF Contract with WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency

· 2007 WFF and WBBF World Amateur and Pro Championships ( Moscow, Russia and Vilnius, Lithuania )

· In 2008 WFF-WBBF International plans to organize over 60 International Events World Wide

WFF-WBBF
After dividing WFF and WBBF each of them have their own ways of activities:

· WFF – fitness (“Fit-Kid”, Aerobic Fitness, Model Fitness, Disabled Fitness)

· WBBF – bodybuilding (Classic, Performance, Athletic, Super Athletic, Extreme).
Both International Federations organize Amateur and Pro World and Continental Championships as well as other International Contests.

CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
WFF-WBBF organize World and Continent Championships as well as various activities for years: Europe , South America , North America .
The number of WFF-WBBF Country-Members grow rapidly. Due to this the International Federation decided to organize WFF-WBBF Asia Championship next year (probably in India ).

INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR
Every year WFF-WBBF hold annual International Seminar for Trainers and Judges. The participants listen to a theoretical course and take part in the practical exercises. After the examination they receive a Common Level International Certificate.
Last years the International Seminar was held in January in Daugavpils ( Latvia ).

AMBER PRIX INTERNATIONAL (1968-2008)
In 2008 “Amber Prix International” celebrates it’s 40 years anniversary.
This is a very well known International Contest World Wide. Today many International Internet Pages write about “Amber Prix International”.
The History of Bodybuilding and Fitness is directly connected with the History of one of the World’s Oldest Traditional Contest - “Amber Prix International”.
There are some old traditional International Contests in other Countries too. But the organizers of these Contests are some private persons or private Sport Gyms, not an International Sport Federation. This means the different Official Status of the International Competition:
· „Amber Prix International“ is organized by the Official International Sport Federation
· Commercial International Contest „Olympia“ is run by a private Company (Private Owner)
· International Contest „Universe“ is organized by a Public Sport Club named „NABBA UK“.
No secret, in 1973-1986 Bodybuilding was prohibited as sport in USSR and many East Europe Countries. The main reason was: Bodybuilding comes “from the Western World”. Nevertheless we broke the obstacles went on organizing “Amber Prix International” in a half-legal way.
Many Socialist Countries united under the idea of the “Amber Prix International”. Sportsmen of the Socialist Countries could not cross the “Iron Wall” and participate at the International Contests that were held in the West.
In fact, for many years “Amber Prix International” was the World Championship of the Socialist Countries.
During the “Cold War” we were in touch with Bodybuilders World Wide. Press of many Countries was writing reports about the “Amber Prix International”, “Weider Publications” as well.
When the political climate became warmer, times of “Perestrojka” came. Governments of the Socialist Countries recognized Bodybuilding. USSR Sport Ministry (Goskomsport) evaluated “Amber Prix International” very much. It started to give Honorable Sport Names for the Champions of the “Amber Prix International”.
A number of World Wide famous names grew in the “Amber Prix International”: OLEGAS ZURAS, NATALIA MURNIKOVIENE, JOLANTA MILERIUTE, ROLANDAS POCIUS (all Lithuania), OLEV ANNUS (Estonia-Finland), SERGEJ OGORODNIKOV (Russia), OLEG ZUR (Ukraine), MASSIMO MONACO (Italy) and many others.
“Amber Prix International” is popular today too. At 2007 “Amber Prix International” in Klaipeda ( Lithuania ) participated over 200 athletes from 22 Countries.
The over all Winners were JELENA FRENKEL ( Israel) and ALEKSANDR SEVCOV ( Estonia).

FUTURE VISION
Different from other International Federations, WFF-WBBF has clear future vision.
The strategic aims of WFF International are:
· Seeking IOC (International Olympic Committee) recognition
· Seeking membership of GAISF
In August 2007 WFF signed the Anti-Doping Contract with WADA and those aims became real.
At the same time we underline that International Bodybuilding has big problems: synthetic implants, sylikons, sinthol, transvestites in Women Championships etc… A human being is never perfect. We never say: stop, it is enough…It is always interesting to learn the limit of our absolute mental and physical state. It is always interesting to know what limit a human being can reach to the maximum. Fitness is one of the ways to do it!
