Sounds like you have a good Group of Dr's and a good plan..
Good luck

PS
Did the Doctor agree with me and say you were way too old to be skiing like a kid?

You seriously need to hush up.....

And no he didn't.....but he did suggest NO skiing for the rest of the season as I wouldn't be happy with how I'd have to ski to avoid further injury....

Sorry to hear about your injury. I worked with a guy who had the knee surgery after a ski injury then got a pulmonary embolus from being laid up in bed after the surgery

My ex-husband had exactly the same thing happen to him!

Took him to the ER doubled over in agony, they diagnosed muscle spasm and sent him home ....

What a mess ...

It was more of a *hopeful wish* than an actual *thought*

MRI at 11:00 am tomorrow.....wants to see how much of my ACL I have left as opposed to labelling it as a "Grade 3 tear."

Got a scrip for some pain meds - 1 I never heard of (for day) and some Percosets...

Was told NOT to prop my leg up under my knee with a pillow....need to work on being able to straighten it....

They took some more Xrays....

Need to schedule some PT, ACL screening & brace fitting at the Univ. of DE....goal is to obtain full extension prior to surgery....

Surgery most likely at end of Feb or the beginning of March....and the recovery is a 6 month process - so looking for sure NO shows this year.... :(

I don't know what else to say, dear. I'm so sorry you have to go through this. At least if you get surgery your feet will point in the same direction when you walk (and I'm not making a bad joke, my ex's feet point naturally at a 45 degree angle, he never was recommended surgery, his leg didn't work 100% after his injury).

My girlfriend tore her an ACL and had the surgery... it is good as new. The thing I find messed up was that she requested an epidural so that she could watch the surgery being done. Her parents are both doctors, so I understand her curiosity, but that is messed up.... :worried:
