Went to buy vitamins yesterday

at Shopper Drug Mart (only thing open)

and was looking all over for the IRON. Couldn't find it so I asked the pharmacist. They keep it behind the counter to control it. What gives?

On another note, they also keep tiger balm there too.

As people can over abuse the stuff....

Probably has to do with the risk of kids taking large doses. Iron can be toxic.

I realize it is toxic, especially for kids........just wouldnt think it a problem with safety lids and such.....Just sounds strange to be "controlling" iron. So whats up with Tiger Balm?? Better yet, what the hell is Tiger Balm?? Lip stuff??

tiger balm is some some chinese thing, kinda like rub-a535 or whatever that stuff is... an oily gelly substance that you put on your skin and have to wash off cuz it burns like a bitch but is supposed to be good for muscle pains...

i guess i'm a wimp when it comes to stuff on my skin though... some people like it

Never heard of tiger balm....doesnt sound to appealling tho For muscle aches, I just pop an Orudis Kt.....and kick back until it kicks in......I have a hard time finding Orudis Kt..... works like magic on me for aches.

i thought of a better analogy tiger balm = vicks rub on steroids hehe (same consistancy, similar smell... )

just incase any one is interested, Tiger Balm is from Thai Land.

It contains Camphor and Menthol. It has become famous mainly because it is used by Thai Boxers to heal bruising.

Rub it on and it feels warm like other modern muscle heat sprays.

Can also be used on mosi bites and rubed on the temple it takes away head aches.
