Well then they should focus on making better stuff instead of shooting each other and smoking crack all day.

Its not us foreign car buyers faultthat they make shit.

Not yet...but it is only a week old.

Honda, Toyota, and Mazda among others have plants right in the South. A combination of them trying to make peace during a time when we were scared of Japan and threatened them with embargos, as well as common sense to reduce shipping costs and hassles (a stupid number of those cargo ships turn over, dumping cars into the ocean).

Ford on the other hand builds a lot of shit in Mexico.

Remind me who it is putting people out of jobs?

You done with the lecture, Professor Butt Nugget? I was joking. I know all about Ford and their Mexican endeavors since we have people flying down there every week. I was joking...hence the :) .

I buy Ford for a couple reasons.....1) Price. (family discount) 2) Well built truck. 3) I have not personally had any major problems with them.

I personally think the American car market sucks ass.....nothing out there really catches my eye with the exception of a few sports cars. As far as sedans....most suck ass.

When I am ready to purchase another car, I will look into the "foreign" cars. I would love to buy my wife an Audi when we are in the market for a new car for her.

I actually don't mind the Cadillac XLR and the Lincoln... forget its name - the thing that they are trying to pit against the BMW 5 series.

Audis are nice too - I would love one of the new 8 series that is all aluminum - but I would really love one of the R8s, but I'm pretty sure they aren't sending them to the States.

Doesn't matter much since we aren't allowed most types of cars here and I won't be in the States againt for a few years at least.
I am hoping to save up enough so at the very least I will get an M5 and a Saab 9-3, but depending on where I am at that point, I really want a 575 Marenello - likely not such a good idea in Boston. But I'm full of bad ideas.

I seen that Cadillac in a station wagon version.....it looked like shit.

Lincoln LS......those are nice....in the V8....my sister-in law had one and they were nice and reasonably priced.

Go with the M5 over the Saab. Better overall look, IMO.

And what does that 575M go for?

I wasn't saying I would ever actually buy a Cadillac or a Lincoln - just that those two were the ones that I wouldn't mind owning if someone gave them to me or if I had to rent something.
The next time I'm in North America, it has already been decided that I'm renting a Lincoln Navigator - but my fiancee wants to drive it :)

And I'm not trying to decide between the M5 and the 9-3, I would get both - the 9-3 would be for my fiancee (will be my wife by then) and the M5 would be mine. Although if I'm working from home, I'm not sure that I will need to drive all that much - so it would make far more sense to just share the Saab.
I am also considering the BMW 7 series, but I really like the new M5 (from what I have seen).

As for the 575M, I think they list for $240K new, but I would likely get a used one that was on a one year lease and has about 1K miles on it or so.
I am also showing more interest in the 360 - one of my friends is getting one and it has caused me to look much more into that.

At this point, the last two really don't matter since I can't afford them - but I will know more in a few months what sort of cars I can afford in a few years.

I also really like the Porsche Turbo.
