I agree with Nelms......more details girl!! What are you eating specifically, times, etc?? How about meds?? Any calorie laden drinks?? etc etc??

Also remember - muscle is more dense than fat, so if you are carrying a good amount of muscle, you can lose bf without the scale # really changing.....

But I understand your thoughts.......people are often surprised I weigh "so much" myself, when I'm a size 8......eh - don't get so caught up in the scale # - don't let the # define you & go by how you look.......

ITS THE BODYFAT % THAT MATTERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Blah blah blah -- I dropped 8% bodyfat last year & 2 lbs. This year - I've added lmost half an inch to my biceps and my weight is still friggen 165. Basically you've probably found your body's set point - where it "likes" to be. I've been TIGHT dieting for 3 months -- the bodyfat has dropped. The weight not budging. My cardio is probably the one big thing that hasnt' kicked in - that would be the most significant change to spur change for me --- consistent & regular cardio. That will get results for me. But the bodyfat right now is coming off.

How about you? See a change in the clothes? Is your diet 1000% consistent? Cheat days? Its like --- it takes a significant change to kick outside of your body's comfortable place to be.

GG your log doesn't give details if you are using fit day put in the marco break down that get at the end of the day, as welll as what time you are eating what and when you are working out etc. Also as Sassy said it is not about pounds you could be making progress with bf% dropping your clothes getting bigger on you etc. Also I noticed some small cheats. I know for me to be really on track and make progress I can't cheat at all. For me it needs to all be 110% on or else it just doesn't work.

help me or smack me LOL

I know this weight thing is such a "chic" issue.....

I know what you mean, you're not alone. I can't get below 156 even though I've lost a small amount of BF. Frustrating.

take 2 days from cardio

have a high carb cheat meal with glucorell after the weights on each day

drink an extra 1/2 gallon of water/crystal light

re-weigh after the 2 days

also...if you arent - monitor your waking temp

Just so you know... I kept getting down about the stupid numbers too... till everyone on here got me to say screw the scale... but I am also 135-140 and when people look at me they say no way that I must be a buck o five :lmao: So go by how you feel and how your clothes fit :)

Another question is how did you lose those 55 lbs to start with? Whatever path you took there is likely affecting your progress now on some level.

Higher pro diet..no junk tons of water and cardio and free weights....BUT I had just had a baby at that time so it was easier to get off

What was your calorie intake?

You know I don't know....I average 1300 a day and have to push myself for more..so I am guessing 1200-1400 maybe at the most...

DING, DING, DING, DING......BIG RED FLAG HERE!!!!!

You need to eat more, Girl! You should be no lower than 1600 calories a day! You know better than that!!!! Ok, back hand is ready!

Get everything in fitday and get your calories up.

That is likely part of you problem as you were pretty much starving yourself you need to get your metabolism working for you again. You slowed it down by eating that little.

Yea --- ok this is why we have to send GG to the Are you new to EF Ladies Board - START HERE sticky.... Its all slowly coming out....

We need:

1) Your stats - height, wt, bodyfat

2) your current diet - put it in fitday.com.

3) your current training & cardio.

I'm big on this whole bodyfat set weight thing - I don't know the mechanics behind it - but in my life - if I take an "average" of my lifestyle over the last say 10 yrs -- my body has a weight it likes to settle at based on what it sees as "my lifestyle" -- 10 yrs ago it was probably 150. By 2000, I guess you'd have to add in about 5 lb for my boob job-- I was 155 & 16% bodyfat when I started prep for my first show. I'd done one of those "no carb" diets -- I was exploring some personal boundaries when I did it - but at the end fo the day I lost a lot of muscle -- I was great on top. but my legs were nice & squishy. Over the last 5 yrs, I've added a crapload of mass related to competition and now I tend to settle around 162. And I can do that w/ a range of bodyfat. BUT the one thing that makes a difference as far as actually budging my weight is cardio. The diet & training right now are solid. Cardio is sporadic. But that is also the one part of my regimen that is always sporadic. So I'd almost say that my body has adapted to the diet & training -- but the cardio is the one big thing I can throw it and to kick start major difference.

So now whatever you've been doing but can't seem to make the weight number change - I'm going to guess that you've done small changes but nothing major. I'm definitely going to say that your diet is the first place to optimize, but it may be one big fat change that you need to make to really get things moving.

You all have given me some great info to think about and to post when I digest all of this..Thanks....

How much are you working out though? Calories will depend on your activity level and your bodys ability to burn X amount of calories resting. I know for a fact that your calorie level is to low. I just recently dealt with the same thing. You think that the smaller amount of calories means a greater amount of bf loss but it does not. YOu need to feed your body to fuel your body and fueling it will result in bf loss. Even @ 12x's my bw it was not enough calories for me. So how much are you working out and are you being consistant?

No I can honestly say that my workouts have not been consistent due to end of school yr and kids...BUT I average no less then 3 days in the gym right now and that includes two spin classes a week...last week I did a spin class..20 min on the elipticla and weights for one workout...

BUT i think this is part of the problem but I think diet and cals are a big one....

Honestly it is more important to have the diet on track. If the diet is smack on and there are weeks were you can only go to the gym 3 times or less you would still make progress. Training is part of it for sure but really the biggest thing is consistent clean diet.

GG ...

I just wanted to tell you, overnight, I am already down 7 lbs on the scale from the dinner I had.

I'll post about it in my log once I can see straight ... *yawn*

((HUGS))) and that is why the begining of the thread I said you would give me the smakck down for this question LOL

Concentrate on diet, have a notepad and note everything you eat, how much training you do everyday etc.. be strict on it and honest :) that works for most of us.. well me anyway! You can transform yr body with dedication and we're all here to help you achieve that! U GO GG!!!!
