how do you lose body fat.

as a powerlifter how do you control your weight?

im not talking about before a meet........im talking in general, with no strength loss.

watching the speed of the accessory movements, with such small breaks in the westside tapes makes me think that could work as a body fat reduction method
 
OK I might get flamed BAD for this one but I lost 5%BF in 3 weeks by doing stacker3. You take one capsule after a meal 3 times a day. Bro straight up this thing rose my body temperature to where it was burning fat with me just sitting down and when I ate alot I would be in the shitter for a while. But while I was on it I didn't lose any strength. If you decide to do it cycle it 3 weeks on 1 week off it's not that great on your body so don't do the whole bottle straight.
 
the products you talk about are not legal in my country.

I dont want to comprimise the future of my lifting career either.
i will be lifting drug free in both olympic and powerlifting. i know that it leaves your system pretty quick, but i have signed forms that i can and will be tested at any time in the year on a random basis.

the chances are slim but im not one for risks when it comes to legal things. also the police are gettin harsh on the owner ship of ephidrine. its weird you guys can go to a truck stop and buy the shit......but i have to hook up with a heroin or steroid dealer.
 
WHOA shit are you serious. Your right I can go into my work (publix) and buy it and that's a grocery store. Well I know of another way but I don't know if your up for doing any cardio. If you do cardioi first thing in the morning without any food maybe water, In other words run for about 20 minutes in the morning without any food in your stomache. You should be burning strict fat this way b/c your not burning off the food you just ate it's whatever your body has that's a waste(fat). Hope this way helps you some bro.
 
the second one you mention is a myth.
how is it possible that running on an empty stomach is not catabolic.

PS i start 5-5:30 in the morning and it takes a little while to drive there.......ill be damned if im gonna get up at 3 to exercise.

i was thinking move along the lines of fat and protein intake, and carb restriction, or reduced caloric intake
 
Im in the same boat as you endpoint. I need to lose some fat but I dont want to lose any strength. I was reading recently about the Anabolic diet which was desinged by mauro dipasquel. He was a world champ powerlifter too.
 
how muchweight are you talking about losing?i fluctuate weightlike a motherfucker an i doesn't mess with my strength.the only thing i do different is lower carbs,i eat same amount of meals per day and protein goes up a bit,but by doing this i slowly drop weight and i have still hit pr's on me day and at he meet.....
 
The mann : im talking about general weight loss here, just as a general "feel better about myself".
I would like to lose probably 10lbs over many weeks.......i dont care how long it takes.

I am also going to add in a bit more sled draging........i havent been doing it cause its hot here. real dry.
 
also how much weight do you think you can drop for weight in......just an estimate. what is the largest amount you have achieved.



also the mann i forgot to ask, how low do you cut your carbs? are we talking nearly no carbs?
 
Hey everyone here should go to the diet discussion forum for this topic. There are a lot of good posts for this type of questions. I have also heard of Westside style powerlifters say to cut carbs while increasing protein intake. Also check out www.tmag.com article called Meltdown Training.
