Remember the little papers that we used to use when rolling your hair for a perm? Take a small piece of one and use fingernail polish to "glue it on" over top of the crack.

If you don't have any of those perm papers you can use normal tissue paper. It strenghtens & seals the crack and you can paint right over it.

Good idea Q!! Will have to use tissue paper if it gets worse cuz I haven't had a perm since the 80's!!

LOLOLOL I bought some for a craft project, they make great faux stained glass windows.

The tissue paper works on real or fake nails. Depending on the crack & how long your nails are you might even be able to put a small piece on the underneath side of the nail and on top. Double protection.

Cuticle scissors work well for cutting the tissue and/or holding it while you paint it in place. ;)

Good tips!! I'm trying to make it hold on until Thursday when I go for a mani/pedi - cuz I'm sure they will fix it up for me.....now I just have to make myself not pick at it....

Duct tape fixes EVERYTHING!! ;)
I'm dying laughing over here... I remember the one day walking into my grandfather's kitchen (He had alzheimer's). Well I look down and his rugs in the kitchen had a stream of duct tape all around the edges holding the rugs to the floor. I looked at my mom,"What is that???" She said,"I dunno, it looks like duct tape."Grandfather walks in and my mom said,"Did you really duct tape your rugs to the kitchen floor?" He said,"Yes, I was sick of them moving and this way they are not going any where!" Still cracks me up...
