That mofo's crazy..

Note how he kept his legs and knees together, and when he landed, his knees where slightly bent.

I don't know the physics behind it, but that's the way army airborne types are trained to land once they jump out of planes. I think landing that way helps prevent broken bones and severe injury

he just rolled into the fall but you still have to execute that landing perfectly!!! He not only jumped but did a backflip!!!!

Took gymnastics as a kid and the bend in the knees and the the back roll at the end absorb shock better than locking legs. Still got some balls cause he can keep that shit!!

That's got nothing on my somersault off the toilet technique.

thats some serious skill. i would call it a 25 to 30 foot drop. fisheye lens. landing in that mulch stuff helps a lot too. still, i cant take anything away from that guy.

How or why?

lol...good point.

Onerep...he must have a very high diving board. I would think it would be very hard to time himself so that he would be feet down during his backwards flip. Still amazed that he did it.

btw thats just 180 backflip, i have seen people do 360, but with skies on and on snow going atleast 30 miles/hr.

I am still not impressed. I have seen guys on the diving team do shit like that.

Forget the back flip part, that is irrelevant because anything you do in the air is only as good as your landing. He did a controlled landing, hit the background, rolled back, let momentum disperse the impact in a fluid motion.

I agree - the perspective (with the short dude appearing to stand next to the thing-but really behind it) makes it look rediculously high... at most I would say 25-30 feet...

depending on how tall the jumper is maybe only 20-25 feet...

but still high and props to the guy....

the effect is part optical illusion to make it look like 40-50 feet high....
