Vitamin and supplement help

Sapphire

New member
Do certain vitamins and minerals counteract each other? For example can you take all your vitamins and supplements at the same time or should you take certain ones together and others at a later time.

Any advice or suggestions appreciated.

Sapphire~

you'd better take your vits at a time and your minerals at an other moment

Don't take Zinc + Calcium
Take Zinc on an empty stomach

If you take much Zn you shiould also add Cu (copper)

yeah well about your tablet w/ Zn, Mg, and Ca, throw it away. Calcium will block absorption of Zinc. Try Zinc picolinate or monemethane (sp)

Also don't mix Vit.E w/ Iron. Iron destroys properties in E.

For Zinc and Magnesium you'd better take
Zn/Mg picolinate
Zn/Mg aspartate
Zn/Mg gluconate

and Zn monomethionine (as in ZMA)

but never Zn/Mg oxide (poorly absorbed)

hmmm ok. I guess I'm just wondering why manufacturers would combine the three if calcium is going to be a blocker:confused:

Antrax and rb7 thanks for your input. Any others that shouldn't be taken together besides what you both have already listed?

any mineral in its amino chelated form is very well absorbed/assimilated

it is a good choice
