Violent Sugar Cravings - please help

THanks to everyone for the awesome information. (and trust me:: i take no offense to anything that helps me to learn.) The nutrition part has always been hardest for me: not so much from lack of knowledge but rather from ingesting too much information and trying to decipher the good from the bad.

Your comments have all been very helpful. Thank you so much.

Yup, I think this might be the reason for her cravings. With sugar, I can't stop once I've started. With everything else, I just try to listen to my body. If there are days when I'm extra hungry, I eat because my body's probably trying to tell me something. I just make sure I eat clean.
 
OMG, too few calories!!!!! where are you ladies getting these bonkers diets from!!!!!

Sweetheart, don't do it! AT 158 lbs you need more cals than that. Man, Ihave to put up a thread!!! Otherwise I will be writing the same thing OVER AND OVER AGAIN

Glutamine helps with sugar cravings, but your sugar cravings are because you are BLOODY STARVING YOURSELF AND WILL PROB PUT ON MORE WEIGHT WHEN YOU STOP YOUR CONCENTRATION CAMP DIET

I don't mean to offend, just really scares me what women will do to lose weight!!!

Please get a copy of burn the fat feed the muscle, it is an e-book by Tom VEnuto!!!

Also anything by CHris Aceto is fanastic.

Take a look at my pics, I got this ripped eating between 2000-3000 calories per day, NEVER DROPPED my cals below 1800

Get use to it sugar :) You will find innumerable posts asking the same things, but each person is different so we have no problem repeating ourselves. :)

In line with T's statements here....you should be NO LOWER than 1580 calories per day. That's 158 x 10. Your high end should be around 1896 per day. Give yourself one cheat day a week, but DON'T over do it. Are you logging your foods in fitday?

I'd have to say that how you react will be a bit dependent on your body - me personally, I don't do so well if my cals go above 1800 (for cutting). But its so important to look at what your calories are going to.
 
Thought I'd put up my measurements as well: (will start a new thread for logging purposes.)

Chest - 38
Waist - 32 (damn diet!!)
Hips - 39
Biceps - 11 3/4
Neck - 13
Thigh - 24
calves - 16

When I used to compete (many many years ago in my early 20's) I was always getting nic'd for my legs being out of proportion. Go figure.

Looking forward to the journey.
