Alright--lets just say my natural test level is 1000. If i then took 400mg of cyp and 400 mg of eq wouldnt it shut down my test and be less test than if i didnt go on?? Whats the deal? Would/could good gains still be made?

Well, you are not making 1000mg per week (or even in 6 months) so this is not a valid question. You make a max of 70mg per week (at your max).
In order for test to be effective, it has to be more than your natural test. Anyway, the synergetic relationship between 400 EQ and 400 test would equal out to roughly 1100-1200 of either gear by themselves so it would make a difference.
