Resolved, That the bill from the House of Representatives (H.R. 2130) entitled ``An Act to amend the Controlled Substances Act to add gamma hydroxybutyric acid (GHB) and ketamine to the schedules of controlled substances, to provide for a national awareness campaign, and for other purposes.'', do pass with the following. The U.S. Senate Reconvenes on January 24th, 2000. GBL, ghb, Blue Nitro, Renew Trient, GH Gold, Somatapro, Jolt, Verve, Reactive, Eclipse, Jolt, and Invigorating, will be illegal by the end of January. These and other products containing 2, 3 (h) furanone di-hydro, may be physically and mentally addictive, and could cause serious health problems.
On Friday Feb. 18, 2000, President Clinton signed the 'Hillary J. Farias and Samantha Reid
Date-Rape Drug Prohibition Act of 2000'. According to the text of the Act, the Attorney General of the United States is ordered to add GHB to the list of schedule I substances within 60 days of the passage of the act. As soon as the attorney general does this, or in 60 days (whichever comes first) GHB will become illegal to possess without a license.
