Interested to hear from anyone using venison as a main red meat protein source in their diets. Waitrose sell 2 x venison grills (220g) (nutrition value 49g protein, 0g carbs, 3g fats). For me seems far superior over other red meat sources BUT am i missing something? I suspect iron content would be greater than beef as well - a lot richer meat...???

Honestly, any quality cuts of red meat should be fine. Venison is fine, but it's also not going to be some wonder food unless you are comparing it to processed meats.

Ahh a fellow Brit. Yep Venison rocks. You can do a search for Iron content. Ideally buy it from a butcher and have it be the kind of deer that walks around a forest and then is hung so it's nice n 'gamey'.
