Aight, so here’s the story. I’ve been hitting the gym for about a year, and I’m heading off to college this month. I figure why not take a preemptive strike against the Freshman 15?? I’m here to learn how to turn intensity into results so feel free to offer advice, critique, give feedback (positive or critical- just as long as it is proactive). I am ready to be educated!
I have a few goals in mind for where I want to be by December 25th:
Now: 17-19% --> Bf% 13
Now: 8 --> Mile time <7:00
Now (for 8 reps full squat) 185 --> Squat Max (for 8): 200<
Now: 35 Push up max --> (1 minute) >50
*test 1st day back from every de-load (6th week)
Doable?? yup, i do think so.
I have the tendency to over work… 220 minutes a week of cardio is otherwise known as the fast track to going catabolic. However, all my previous sports training has brain washed me into the whole (as my field hockey coach used to lovingly tell us as we ran centuries on the bleachers in 100 degree heat) “pain is your bodies way of telling you you’re doing a good job!” Well, actually he used the word “puking” instead of “pain” but same diff. No complaints, I live for that burn. No such thing as overtraining- just under eating and under sleeping (yea, I'm gonna have to work on those too).

Comida para hoy

): 8/90 4/90, 8/70 8/70
…and hopefully the great Nutella too.
snack, but it is sinfully amazing! Totally pulls a rambo
on your mental state for the rest of the day seeing as nutella is pretty much hazelnut crack.

ATTN
I’m going to, unless something goes awry, post a lot about my post-op recovery b/c I know that not taking a totally neurotic (not really) front seat approach would make me- um, very NOT happy
. So, the idea is that posting this will help keep me sane and a lot of others informed
.
not my favorite part!
Tips:
Sleep a lot, it helps your body’s batteries recharge.
mmm, hash browns...well the appetitie must be coming back
)
Ice the girls once they can handle it. DO NOT PUT ICE DIRECTLY ON SKIN. You could put the ziploc or w/e bag you are using directly on, but it is best to avoid direct contact because you don't want your incision area/ stiches wet more than necessary. I'm using a gallon size zip loc filling it 1/2 way with ice and wrapping it in a towel before setting it on. Helps sooo much.
). There is some minor seepage from the incision and the tubes from the "pain pump" [a ball of pain reliver that is attached to a tube which lets 2ml flow every 2 hours from the ball through the tubiong into your chest area- it's automatic and you can't feel the flow].
*Tip: if you're not using an ACE bandage around your breast under your sports bra, It may help to use guaze pads to cover the incision site or sites of any tubing. First, it reduces the possiblity of material chaffing your skin and the incision, and also it will absorb any seepage or bleeding (a little bit of both is still normal at this stage).
It is seriously to my benefit for you guys to keep me on my toes about my activity level...it's tough for me not to have my exercise time, but i'll try to take up knitting or something or the time being.
,- 70's dude ...i feel like an interior design color palet. Still high and tight, but coming along nicely.
Driving is a little annoying...especially making turns, I feel like a grandma b/c it takes me so long to get the car around the curve.
