I love it how vegans assume that just because you eat meat you're cruel to animals. I say get off your high fuckin horse and stfu. Animals eat animals, maybe you should lecture them on becoming herbivores. Even some plants eat plants. You know some things like evolution, ecosystem, etc...all been concepts that have been around forever.

Oh and their arguments are pretty awesome too lmfao

I heard a vegan say, you don't eat your dog, so why eat a turkey or chicken. Well, because you dumb fuck chicken and turkeys have been food for generations of people and they are in the food chain, dogs on the other hand are for hunting, scouting, companionship...I guess because I eat meat it means I beat my dog daily....fuckin ridiculous

This is my personal favorite:

A picture of a gorilla staring you down and saying: "Ask me where I get my protein again." LOL. Gorrilaz are large because of evolution and genetics not because they are vegan.

Maybe I should throw my cat out of the house cause he eats animal products...he must be cruel.

This is what vegans can eat: grains, beans, vegetables, fruits...that's a lot of beans and veggies to get to my 300+ grams of protein a day. Guess I'll have atomic bomb farts and be shitting green all day.

sorry mate but some of the largest and most powerful animals on the planet now and historically have been herbivores. And it's not just raw size but also explosiveness. I don't know what horse's metabolize from straight grass to allow them to be near 1000 lbs of pure muscle but fuck they do it. Hippo's are probably the meanest animals on the planet, they fuck you up cause they want to..not cause they need to eat you. I know they're herbivores but not exactly sure what they eat, but I'd like to know cause something in there makes them mean as spit.

that may or may not be true. Plato spoke often of the races of man before ours, they were vegans and at least according to him capable of physically a lot more than we are today. This was of course based on legends passed down from generation to generation but it's hard to discern why, in a culture of rabid meat eaters, that legends of a tribe of herbivores who were like half gods would have persisted.

Animals eat animals, yes they do! But the animal they kill was not put in a 2 x 2 cage, castrated without anesthesia, had their babies taken from them, tortured and then bludgeoned to death (in most cases) before they are eaten. Well guess what? This is how the meat humans eat is killed.
I have NO issue with people eating meat, but eat the meat of an animal that had a long, healthy and happy life and peaceful death.

And you say Dogs/cats are not food?! Oh yeah, go to China brother and tell me what you see.

My best advise (if you're such a tough guy), actually watch a video of how your meat is tortured and slaughtered, then come back and we will talk

And YES there is as much protein in other foods besides animal meat......good god, I thought you were way more in tune man!

I'll explain what someone who does not want to contribute to the torture and killing of animals, they are aware! Truly aware.

The reality is blue, I think for most of us, it's outa sight outa mind when it comes to how and where we get our meat. I don't think anyone here on the board is for animal cruelty, but that is not something I usually think about as I pick up a package of chicken or beef from the grocer.

I have changed to a more organic, grass fed, free range way when it comes to my meat choices but I don't know if that translates necessarily to a more humane treatment of my meat *snicker*.

I don't seriously think traz is for the inhumane treatment of animals, none of us are, and you're right, I've seen some of those videos and they're awful.

I would agree if you compared gram for gram the nutritional value in hemp hearts or chia seeds vs the same weight in meat, the seeds will win, even in protein value.
 
Eh, my mom's family has a Black Angus farm in OK, and I've seen inside the processing plant and killing floor. I've seen the shit get into the meat and how the animals are treated, and frankly I just don't care.
 
All I know in regard to health is in 1995, I went to my great grandma's 101st birthday party, and she was a meat eater and that when she did go, it wasn't due to any specific disease. Just old body parts.

And there are lots of ways to get meat that's not so mass produced they need to suffer the ways described in this thread. I'm all for the humane treatment of animals. ALL for it, but its hardly fair to pretend all meat comes from animals treated that way. No. You make choices on where you buy it from. It's like condemning anyone who owns a puppy because puppy mills exist. It just doesn't make sense.
