Used vs. New Car

I change cars every three years or so. Wondering if I should get a used car this time coz I don't see any major changes in engine or features between a 2009 or 2012. What are your thoughts on this very important matter?

Holy fuck I'm lost

Buahahhahahahahhahahahahahahhahahhagahahahahahahhahahahhahahahhahahahahhahahahahhagaahgagaagaggahahahhahahahhahahahhahahaahahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahgahahahaaghahagagagaahhahahhahahahhahahhahahahahhahahhahahhahahhahahhahahahahhahahhahahhahaha

Can you negotiate more with used cars or is the price fixed?
There's a much bigger profit margin on used cars vs. new. So, yeah you can usually move the price on used more depending on how motivated the dealer is. As a whole most dealers don't make shit on new car sales. There's incentive to move volume, but the sticker price vs what the dealer gets the car for is relatively small.

Buy new if you can afford to pay off and trade in whenever the warranty's up. Buy used if not, or you don't like spending that much money on something that loses its value so fast.

Lol...that doesn't make a bit of financial sense but you go boy! People like you are why I got big bucks

What do you recommend oh car god? :)

I bought a new one in '08 and I'm driving that shit into the ground. Actually my kid will probably drive it, car god willing.

If you trade in a year you're gonna take a huge hit in the pocket. You won't have driven it enough to absorb any of the depreciation.

yeah but you are kind of a car nut....so fresh and so new....pick want...

I predick I'm rawking another Chevy again in the next 6 months

Even wood consider another bu or Equinox, butt I really want to seen the new Silverado first

I had someone today trade out of a car they bought 5 months ago and lost nearly $5,000

I made money when they bought it
When they traded it
And when they bought the new one

So I will profit minimum three times and they lost money.

I'm still doing it

Won't be the first stupid shit I've done

Are these idiots stupid rich or something to where they just don't give a fuck? Or are they Pick3 obsessed with new rides?

Some are wealthy, some don't give a shit and its just something they do cuz they don't have kids or shit else to do, others are plain fucking retarded and no matter how many times you tell them they're digging themselves into a hole they continue to do it until they're so buried in the vehicle they can't trade out even if they wanted to.

I've bought a new car every 1.5 years for the last decade or so and NEVER been upside down

Yeah but you also do research and buy reasonable vehicles. Not a fuckin' bmw and then trade it in 5 months later.

I've had cars from Dodge Trucks to a Yaris

Just put enough down and paid aggressively so that I didn't go upside down

I know it's knot fiscally sound trading so soon butt that's my vice :)

I found a trustworthy mechanic around here...brought my wife's Pontiac G6 in for a checkup - his advice was to sell it ASAP before shit hits the fan (60,000 miles)

KNOT a fan of GMC myself, but she bought in a bind - her acura took a shiit and she needed something asap to get to work and whatnot.

I love Ford's myself - miplank what do you think about those South Korea cars? Nissian, Kia, etc... as far as longevity?

Nissan are built in TN and Mexico knot Korea

Ford is an excellent product

cept for their mytouch b.s.

I realize the product of the company who builds the car isn't out of the actual company's home country - curious about what he has seen as a dealer.

I love me some Ford's, too. I'm trying to convince her to get an Escape vs. Sorento.... Escapes look way better and have some decent reviews....Sorento...about 5g cheaper and also pretty damn good reviews....

How have you been brother? It's been awhile

Hah, nice. I'm sending her these links. Sorento is tied with the FJ cruiser? wtf?

But damn, they turned the escape into a minivan/crossover 'fo sure.

I liked the box type shape better, yeeeeesh.

I'm gonna find her a '91 jeep grand Cherokee and pay her the difference :)

I have one!

Are you a tradesman? How often do you tow, or haul stuff? Why would you possibly need a pickup truck?

No, I'm an office type these days

The impetus for buying the RAV was localized street flooding

I actually miss the Malibu (much moar comfortable), butt I nearly swamped it twice within a few months just from rainfall events

Some people just like trucks. I dont need a motorcycle by any means but I sure like it

Nissan is a Japanese company. Been around almost as long as Toyota and Honda.
