Us vs The Untrained

lol, thanks

I'd just done a heavy set of wrist curls giving me serious fatigue and as a result my coordination and typing ability was greatly reduced, fatigue hit an all time high just as I went to type "cut" and the result was "cutter"

Wow phemomena...saw your pics..you look wonderful!

I must be getting bigger because I've been going to different gyms lately because I moved recently and I've been trying to pick a good one, and the reactions...

...the skinny guys look at me and whisper to each other...it is kinda funny...and a compliment, lately...since then they look at me and try to copy my exercise form...I think they want to know more but are afraid to ask me.

Sometimes the women are weird...some gyms have their established 'gym girls' who don't really welcome me because I'm bigger and more cut (usually) than they are...it doesn't take much to be bigger or more cut than anyone in Chicago, though...the MidWest is known for Beer, Beef, and Cheese, for heavens sake!

The other girls who are not trained just zone out for their two hour cardio session anyway...and run away from me in fear that muscles are contagious. HA!

After reading this thread, I will forever think of those people as "The UNTRAINED" ones.

thanks!!!

i know exactly what you mean, my gym is full of all those people that you speak of...

take these these two girls for example... they were literaly gauking at me the other day when i was doing shoulders... they were a little on the bigger side, wearing outfits a little on the smaller side, you know the type... i just felt like telling them that if they worked out for half as long as they'd been staring at me, they might look half as good as me... LoL... i didn't, i'm not that mean, but they were just looking and wispering and gauking and wispering some more...

what a pathetic joke... then they found some guy that would pay attention to them and thankfully left me alone to concentrate my weights... i'm not self conscious or anything, but i hate that feeling that someone's eyes are glued to you... i try not to break my concentration, but sometimes its hard... i swear i'll go off on someone someday...

oh, don't even get me started with the males who feel they have to prove something and want to compete with little 110lb me... what idiots...

oh well, such is life... just gotta say f*&K it and lift...

My favorite one is the "ya know women dont like those big muscles on your neck right so why do you try to get them bigger?" Of course he is talking about my traps. The two areas of my I get complimented most on by women at first sight are my arms and my shoulder area. They say it makes me look powerfull and women like powerfull men.

My advice to the lad who started this thread. If those people who are giving you the negative feedback are supposed to be your friends get new ones that will fit better into your chosen lifestyle. Everyone in my personal life works out pretty much. Instead of bar hoping it is grilling out and watching movies with an occasional glass of wine or beer, but we certainly fill the grill with beef to cook and eat. That is what we find fun especially after a two in a day consisting of the weights then cardio. Trust me it works better with friends who are in the same lifestyle you are.
