i just remember when i used to use the uphill treadmill i would really feel it in my legs -quads/calfs etc. everywhere practically.
is this any good for building leg muscles? or would it do nothing?

ooo thats where im lacking the most... im gonna start doing it

should it be done at the start or the end of the workout though?

I do cardio only on non-lifting days. Usually about 3X a week when dieting, although I think cardio is overrated for weight-loss. I set the gradient at 15 degrees, the speed at about 3.0-3.3mph and do about 30 minutes.

I don't think it will "build" your quads. But I have heard great things about it for helping isolate the glutes and calves. I used a 15% incline while preparing for contests and it helped me to isolate my glutes big time. Good luck!

i jsut got back from the gym and did 15% incline for 10 minutes going 8-10mph after one of the most intense leg workotus ive ever done
fucking almost killed me, i was so fucked afterwards

Hey sweetie. I dont think you should run on such a steep incline (bad on the back and slightly unsafe IMO). What really worked for me was putting up to 15% incline and walking @ 4 mph. Since your tougher and probably have longer legs than me you could up it to 4.5 mph. Try to stay on there for 20 or so ; challenge yourself. You should also try sprints! 400 meters and below will do wonders for your quads. Running the 200meters for 6 years did more for my quads than any leg workout ever will (don't flame me fellas). I know it's probably cold where you are at so you may have to wait until the spring, but keep it in mind.

But congrats on your very fast paced run on such a steep incline STUD!

OOPS, I see your location is Austrailia so its warm down there so get your butt outside and sprint!

would doing 15% incline treadmill for 10-15 mins including in your leg workout be a bad idea when trying to bulk?
