uneven body parts

I feel right side of my upper body is bigger than the left, and I had a friend at the gym taking a close look at me and he agrees, is this genetics? or is there something I can do to fix it, would you advice me or link me where to get assistance about it ,thank a lot bros.

This is a actually very common problem. We all have a dominant side. I am guessing you are right handed? Is that correct?

The best way you can fix muscular imbalances is by training with unilateral movements. That way each side of your body needs to work equally to lift the weight. When you lift a barbell, your dominant side can take over and do the majority of the work. With things like dumbbells, each side is forced to work equally hard.

Take chest for example - For the next couple of weeks, swap out all your barbell pressing movements for dumbbell movements. Instead of barbell incline bench press, do dumbell incline bench press etc. I would also do a couple additional sets with a pressing machine on JUST your left side to help fix the imbalance faster.

Do the exact same thing with bicep, tricep, back, and shoulder exercises.

you posted the same thing on evo

when you are young you will notice these imbalances, that is why the idea is you workout to correct them by doing each side equally. the biggest imbalances I see in the gym are dudes with big upper bodies and sticks as legs.

another one is huge chest and no back. these are not good

Just do more work with dumbbells and cables where you can work each side individually. When you use barbells one side will compensate for the other side.

And try to avoid doing uneven amount of sets or reps or different weights for your uneven bodyparts.

This way you will only make a difference bigger.
