According to Lyle McDonald's current suggestions, drink the protein before the workout(Qhey might actually be better than myoplex here.) and half a serving of Ultra-Fuel about 30 minutes in. Both will be at peak absorption levels right as your workout is winding up(This assumes a 1hr workout.) I also throw in an extra post workout shake of more protein + another half serving of Ultra Fuel. Ultra Fuel does contain a bit much fructose, but other than that it's pretty decent.
