Tyson Chicken Strips

I go through these like water, although somewhat expensive it is very easy to heat these babies up and eat them up. Very friendly on time. Are the Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips healthy and good for a bulking diet? They don't have any trans fat, only 2 grams of saturated fats while 2.5 grams of polyunsaturated fat and 3.5 of monounsaturated fats. I also use their other products such as chicken breast tenders, chicken strips w/out any breading, and beef tenders without breading. Yay or nay?

I used to eat tyson chicken all the time. But that was the problem, I ate it all the time. Now whenever I even see those in the store I want to puke.

But as long as it fits your daily cal limit for your bulker, eat up.

edit: I ate the ones that didnt have any bread, unlike the link you posted.

Never mind eating too much of those, just look at the sodium count and that will answer all your questions. They are crap.

I love Tyson chicken. Well I used to. Alot of their flavored products (teriyaki, barbeque, etc.) are overprocessed, and once I realized that I stopped eating them.

I LOVE the buffalo chicken strips by Tyson. However, one look at the nutritional content, and I often get upset with myself for eating 3 servings in a sitting.

Tyson does package great frozen breasts and strips (the plain skinelss frozen kind). They come in a multitude of sizes in like 10lb bags. Definately a staple of my diet.

Just curious, I try to stay away from processed foods because I know they have more sodium and possible carcinogens, but for bodybuilding purposes what is so bad about them?

Jay- I don't know any specific scientific reasons, but after I noticed they were processed- I inspected a little further to see it was like grounded chicken meat that was shaped into a breast shape, and definately injected with water to make it fuller and juicier.

From a bodybuilding perspective, although it may have X grams of protien, I am sure it is not as wholesome and quality as actual breastmeat, which may play a part during the absorption of the food. The sodium is also obviously important to bodybuilders, who may have or are fighting for a lower bf.

I'm the same, I often se 'reformed' chicken take a bit of a beating on here but am never really too sure why. the protein is still high. is it just cos of the sodium in reformed chicken meat?

Im addicted to breaded chicken. Easy and fast to make, but very messy on the kitchen counter top. If you have a few hours one day, fry up a few pounds of chicken and then freeze them. That will last you a while, much cheaper, and alot healthier. At least you know what your putting into the chicken. As for what the farmers feed the chicken, thats another story.
