Trying to lose fat

Hi,

I'm looking for some help with this:
My boyfriend and I are trying to start being healthy.

We are both in our mid 20's.
I am approx 150-160lbs, 5'8, and want to lose fat from my breasts, belly, thighs and arms most of all, and get more defined.
He is similar weight, 6'1, and wants to gain some muscle (anywhere :) )

Could anyone please tell us approximate numbers of protein, fat, carbohydrate etc. that we should be aiming for on a daily basis, to achieve this?
Plus, any specific foods to have regularly, or avoid.

Also, any simple excercises we can do at home to help with the muscle toning? Neither of us have ever been particularly 'sporty'... just want to look better and be more healthy. I've also had anough of my huge heavy breasts, and wouldn't mind if I ended up in an A-cup :)

Thanks in advance,
Jenna

Hi Jenna & welcome to EF! The first thing to tell you is that changing your body is about 80% diet, the training & cardio.

I'd start by telling you to take a look at two stickies at the top of the board -

"Are you new to EF Ladies' Board - START HERE"
"TOP THREADS - MUST READ!"

Lots of your questions will be answered there.

Also a really good book regarding good basic nutrition and training info is Bill Philips' "Body for Life" book.

Half the battle is understandin how it all works, the other half is getting started.
