Trying to decide which vehicle to buy is stressing me the hell out. Help please.

I hate to say it but statistically your best bet would probably be the Toyota. The next best bet would be the Jeep, especially if it has the 4.0 liter in it; those last forever if taken care of. '98 was the best model year for Grands; you might have to put up with minor noises in the suspension but hey it's a jeep and you'll have the best of both worlds (car/truck). Plus you can take those things almost anywhere.

For real??? The Jeep will last as long as your average Maxima or Honda? Cause if it will, I'm going with the Jeep. It was sweet looking.

I totaled a 98 grand cherokee, tboned a car @ 60mph that ran a sign and it held up pretty well I guess to keep my ass alive

what about the woman in the other car?

I'd go with the Toyota, but the high miles concerns me.
Did you try Carmax?

I changed my mind, go with the Nissan.
Fuck, I don't know - they all look like a bad deal to me.

Well actually according to the Kelly Bluebook they are all underpriced.. The guy has been selling cars here for 16 years in a small lot and has very little overhead so can sell them a lot cheaper than a big used car dealership can. That Nissan was valued at over 12,000 even with those miles (in mint condition) probably at least 10,000 as it is now and he's letting it go for 7,000. I don't think a new car is a good investment because it depreciates so much the minute you drive it off the lot...

I've only had one vehicle that wasn't a bad deal. I bought a highly used Toyota pick up from a title loan company (basically a pawn shop), drove it 2 years and then I got hit by someone running a red light. His insurance comapny totaled it and paid me what I paid for it. I bought it back from the insurance comany for a couple hundred bucks as scap metal, then drove it for another year (yea, it was beat to shit) and then got $500 trade in value on a new Ford Focus.
You right, brand new cars costs you thousands in depreciation the second you drive it off of the lot.
Good luck with your decision.

Dude - go get you a new Jap car. Will last you forever. Corrola or shit splurge and get you a Camry or an Accord. You won't be sorry.
