Transition from Bulking to Cutting Questions

Guys,

How long do you usually wait after a bulking cycle to begin the leaning up/cutting process?

Right after PCT finishes, 2 weeks after, 4 weeks after, 6 weeks after, or more?

In what order and how drastically do you begin to change your routine regarding your diet, amount of cardio, styling of lifting, and supplementation?

I finished my first cycle about two weeks ago and am conducting PCT now. Everything went very well. I am very happy with the results I achieved. Currently I am at 5'8'' , 210lbs, and 12% BF. I am interested in cutting down to 8-9% BF sometime this summer but I do NOT want to make the typical mistake of cutting to soon and loosing everything I have worked so hard to gain.

Not sure about the typical mistake of cutting too soon and losing muscle... That's only going to happen if you are cutting hard without AAS.

I wish you would have posted sooner, before coming off of your cycle.

If my goal is to bulk then cut, or bulk/cut... Whatever you want to call it... Then I just make my cycle longer and split into 2 phases.

I transition almost immediately.

My diet and lifting schedule change immediately.

Diet changes immediately, but in phases. First, I cut out all non-essential carbs. I only eat carbs pre and post workout for the first 2 weeks. No carbs on off days. I usually do this for a week to 2 weeks... Then I transition into a keto style diet... Either CKD or TKD or a hybrid plan. I switch between CKD and TKD and Hybrid until my goal is achieved.

As far as training goes. I switch to higher reps with very little rest in between sets. Intense high rep, lower weight training is essential to me.

Cardio I ramp up slowly. First week cardio preworkout low intensity for 30 minutes. Week 2 I ramp up the cardio a little more. Then after week 2 I take cardio into full gear. Which for me is typically 30-45 minutes in the AM low intensity, 12 minutes HIT pre-workout, workout, then 30-45 minutes before bed. I try to do 2 a day cardio at least 5 times per week, sometimes more... but sometimes schedule doesn't allow for it.

Supplementation as needed. I'm a fan of cycling between lipostack from agx, eca, and clen/t3... Sometimes do a non stim based like ZIP. I like to add topicals like yohimburn or dermatherm as well. I supplement with fish oil as well, 30-40g of fat from fish oil ed. Sesapure and r-ala is good when I am carbing up or eating a cheat meal.

Your AAS choice is up to you.

In order to pull of the longer cycles you need either HCG or Aromasin. For me, the Aromasin keeps my nuts full. For some aromasin won't and it's better to use HCG. I always like an ant-estrogen when I am cutting too anyways. I think its important to keep your testicles at size when you are on the longer cycles.

I supplement with a good liver aid as well. Key if you are staying on orals for an extended period of time.

To me diet is 50%, training is 40%, supps are 10%... The right combination of that last 10% is what can really make a difference in my opinion. Finding the right supps for you is key... just as finding the right diet and training is key.
 
Sonic, Thanks for the input.

I am not interested in using AAS right now for cutting. I was just interested to see if there were any risks in changing my routine so quickly after just coming off a cycle. I wanted to give my body and liver a break from the abuse it has taken over the last 3 months and make sure my efforts were not a waste. My plan is continue to lift heavy for another week or so as I finish up PCT. I will begin to include more cardio in my routine now and ramp up as you described. Once PCT is over I will begin dieting and changing lifting style. I thinking in a month after I have my diet, and workout routine in place I will run a T4/Clen stack. Thanks again.
