Train everyday

Hi everyone I have a question that I think is probably quite asked alot.
I was watching a video on YouTube about the British weightlifter who goes by the name " tiny iron ", for those who don't know him you gotta check him out, he's a beast. Any ways he says that he trains everyday except Christmas ( as his gym is closed ). I was just wondering I train at home with a basic set of weights, barbell & dumbbells, and I get paranoid about my size especially in my arms. I don't think I'm big enough and I hate taking days of, is it a bad thing to train everyday as all the pros say. Cheers guys

Pros can train more because they use illegal substances to allow for it. Being natural you need REST, rest and recovery is when your muscles grow and heal, Over training is one of the worst things you can do.

-Legacy

Legacy nailed it. If you don't take tine to rest your muscles, which you literally just ripped apart, will never full heal. Thus you would be defeating the purpose. Tear them down, rest, recover and your muscle grows back and grows back stronger so that it can handle what you give it next time. Then the cycle repeats. Resting is one of the best tools you can use in your arsenal to grow. Very important and often overlooked aspect of lifting iron.

Thanks man yea I heard loads of times that rest is the most important part, I think my problem is that I get stressed out If I fell or look small, and it also seems or feels like I'm getting smaller if I lay off for even just 3 days it really pisses me of bro, what would say to training everyday but really light and just aiming to achieve a pump, or do you think that still apples to over training

You need to change your train of thought or you will never reach your goals. You had a negative attitude and you will never be able to overcome that if you dont change your thought process soon.

Do things the slow, steady, and correct way, there is no OTHER way to do it any better.

Eat, Lift, Eat, rest, recover, repeat...period

You grow in the kitchen and in the bed. Not the gym.

Three days of total body or upper/lower is enough for a natural lifter to grow.

Some of the most experienced and knowledgable lifter's and strength coaches have stated that 3 days a week of training is ideal for almost everyone regardless of how advanced they are or if it's the first day in the gym.

Something that hasn't been mentioned yet: You CAN lift everyday like your idol there BUT you can't lift heavy every single day especially if you're natural. Nothing wrong with loading ~30% of your 1rm and doing a couple sets of 15 or so to get some blood flow going on your off days.

please please please check out this guy TINY IRON at tinyiron.co.uk (sorry cant post links yet) . you will roll over and lyfao with tears down your cheeks . hes all natrual and never touched drugs or synthol in peticular and should be (if hes not already) an inspiration to us all . for those that dont know "iron" is english slang for gay - iron hoof = poof .( no offense to any gay members intended). tiny iron kicks ass....................

Yea tiny iron is awesome he's a true beast and for who have replied on my post ( thank you all ) I am natural and I have just recently started a program that let's me train 3 days a week , but as oso0960 stated I wood still like to train even a little everyday just to keep me occupied

i used to train almost every day. as long as i had enough rest time for each muscle group i was training i was fine and made great gains naturally. ive tried training 4 days a week, 5, 6, 7, or 3. i make the best gains out of 5 days a week. i cant imagine training 3 times a week i would go insane

This is a kind of thread i was looking for, thanks a alot :)
I train 3-4 times on arm's at home with my bar and dumbell's (and press up's etc)
But on my off day's i tend to do a day of sit up's and working on my ab's, with a few press up to get the blood pumping.

@ Aaronv92 another person who loves training arms more than twice a week, dude I love training them aswell but I always think that there getting smaller and they look flat almost all the time I feel like once I train them ( biceps/triceps & forearms ) on a Wednesday it just fells like until the next time I train them I've already lost size and seems pointless doing them again as I just feel like I'm aiding them into getting smaller than growing them, wats your routine man, how big are your arms and are you natural

Docz, when you lift you ate tearing your muscles up, your body is recovering and fixing those tears immediately. Your muscles are jacked full of blood pumping from your workout. of course they are gonna look and feel bigger. As soon as I leave the gym and reach behind me to fix my seatbelt I have to lift my ass out of the seat to grab onto it. It's awesome. But in two or even four days later they don't just shrink up. After your next bicep workout when you get home measure them then measure them again after a few days from working them out. Betcha they are nearly the exact same size. It's a head game you are playing with yourself. Your biceps are tiny muscles and are hard to grow, be patient. If you over train an go heavy before the muscle has a chance to recover you are wasting your work. It's like building a sand castle near the shore line and that wave keeps washing it away bro.

Also most guys over look them but for really large arms don't forget your triceps. They are a larger muscle group and they can handle large compound moves like dips, skull crushers and they will grow. Last year my arms were 17". I grew them up to just over 18" in just less than a year naturally.

@ DaBangEm dude the way you said that knocked the nail on the coffin the reason I have this obsession or the way you put it head games ( and your right ) Is when i took a measurement I guess sometime febuary I read the tape at 18.2" on my left and 18" on my right ( I've always had this issue with my right being smaller than the left ) and this is natural but then I took a measurement about a week ago man and it read 17.7-18" on the left and a terrible 17.5" for the right it totally screwed me up but for the last 2 weeks I've stuck with training bi's with tri's and forearms on a Wednesday but it really woke me up with what you said so thanks man I'll heed your advise bro
