Took a look in the mirror today.

This evening I looked at myself in the mirror and took a good hard look at the results from a few months of training and a good diet have made.

I started out looking to see how bad I was burnt from going tanning today. Im fair skinned and am going on vacation in about a month so I decided to tan for it. I noticed my chest first. It looks much fuller and rounder now. Of course that led to me looking at everything else. I have noticed some nice improvements in my traps, lats, quads and hams. I hadnt looked myself over very well since I started working out. Mainly because I new the gains would be slow and I didnt want to get discouraged. Now I can see a pretty good change and I am impressed.

I started out in January on a 3 day split. I gained around 11 lbs in 2 months. Not too bad, but I couldnt tell by looking at myself in the mirror of the changes. I read a lot about DC training and switched to it about 3 weeks ago. Today I can see the changes and I like what I see. I wish I had taken before pics so that I had something to compare to. I think I will take pics now and compare again before I go on vacation.

I would like to thank everyone here. I have learned a bunch from this site. I dont think I could have made these improvements without it.

Keep up the good work bro, it sounds like you got a good thing going for ya. Theres no better feeling than looking in the mirror and liking whats looking back!

Congrats! Nice to see a positive post after someone looked in the mirror, for a change. :D

Likewise. I can't really tell if I'm bigger, smaller, leaner, fatter etc, just by looking in a mirror.

I look in the mirror everyday to shave, and that is about it. I didnt want to get frustrated with slow progress.

Im not where I want to be yet, but I notice progress, and that makes me happy.

I even went and asked my wife if my chest was getting bigger, or if it was a figment of my imagination. She didnt even look at me and quickly replied with, "No, its definetly getting bigger." She had already noticed.

Thanks for the karma.

The key is to take pictures. Pick up a digital camera for a couple hundred bucks. I just take pictures of myself all the time just so that I can go back years and see what I looked like. The amazing thing is there was a time when I was lifting for around a year straight (a few years ago) and back then I thought I was nothing. Well, looking back I'm amazed at how lean and thick I was. One other neat thing to do is simply where a sweat shirt always when lifting or looking in the mirror. Then after 2 months finally look at yourself without the shirt and you will be amazed.
