Too much protein?????Please help!!!

I've upped my protein to about 60-70 a meal, about 450-500 a day since I've started my cycle. Problem is my kidneys have started hurting this past week. I weigh about 230-235 presently at about 12%bf. How much protein do I really need? I don't want to cut my gains short, but more importantly, I don't want to have kidney failure. I already take Cranberry extract and drink about 1 1/2 - 2 gallons of water a day. Scary thing is, two days ago after my workout, I suddenly stopped sweating, then I got real cold and dizzy. Running a little fever even. Assumed I was just dehydrated and drank a bunch of water and Gatorade. Finally, after a few hours I felt better. Still wake up with pain in my lower back though. Anyone have a clue?
 
Protien should have little effect on the kidneys, but it can make your liver work overtime. I dont think you need any more than 300mg protien, but thats just me.

As for you kidneys hurting, may help to know what your on. I for one had a lot of lower back pain while on fina, but it was not kidneys, it was just muscle tightness, which can easily be misconstrued as kidney pain.
 
When taking that much protein it is very important that you take a fiber supplement also. If not you will get constipated like never before.

First week of cycle, started this past Sat. Front load Ttokkyo cyp. in divided doses over first week.

Sat:
800mg Ttokkyo cyp
200mg Ultragan eq
start 20mg Novaldex ED

Sun:
start 50mg Denkal dbol ED

Mon:
800mg Ttokkyo cyp
200mg Ultragan eq

Thurs:
was going to take last 400mg of cyp tonight

next week continue dbol at 50mg ED, 1000mg cyp/week, 400mg eq/week through week 9

got a pic,you must be a big boy,its a lot of juice mate,u might have a tramped nerve ,take a blood test and it will tell u if u r blasting youre kidneys,common sense
 
I doubt it's the protein although 500 grams is too high. Man you must be spending a shitload on groceries!*L*
But seriously a gram and a half is enough...350 grams/day.
 
go see a doc, Im sure that has nothing to do with the uping of the protein, your body can absord a great amount of protein and use 85% of it. You tried cranberry ex thats what I would have done and nothing happened for ya, so a doc is a must
 
I'm fine now. Don't know what the hell was going on. Nearly doubled my water intake to about 3 gal. a day. Probably wasn't drinking enough water.
if you are bulking then 300g will suffice
For someone that weighs 240, that doesn't sound like much. And I was 258 last year when I ended my last cycle. So I'll hit that again pretty easy, seeing as how this is only the beginning of my second week. That means I'll need even more protein.
 
The human body can only process so much protein at any given point in time, the rest it'll just pass so it's wasted. It's better to take less protein, more times then to take bigger doses at one time. I would say stick to 50 grams 8 times a day and you'll be fine. I drink about 38 grams 6 times a day. plus the protein form 4 meals is a good amount for me. that puts me at about 400 grams a day. very well spread.
 
If your kidney's are hurting it's not from the protein. I agree that you can down to 300 to 350 grams a day though. I think that you may have low back pain in the muscle or tightness in that area. In any case a big boy like you needs to drink about six liters of water a day. If it keeps up or gets worse go to a doctor.
 
I'm not having the kidney(back) pain anymore. I went from drinking about 6 liters to closer to 8-10 liters. Thanks for the replies though.
