If it was drugs there would be more than just a few people on this site with a impressive physique

#1-Gear, no pro has been 270+ without it. I've been lifting since 13 and never broken 170, diet and training both monitored by a world champ. Added the juice, now I'm 190? So you tell me...
True.... BUT if you dont have good genetics and an aesthetic build, then nobody is gonna give a shit about you and you'll never go pro. Just look at Craig Golias. He's the biggest man i've ever seen and i just barely heard of him this month.

genetics without the drugs, number one would still be number one, just a whole lot smaller lol bad genes plague a lot of bodybuilders that never turn pro and sauce just as much as the pros

its all roids. if you have a decent frame and have good receptors thats all you need. mixed in with heavy training and food. look at some of the pros before bodybuilding and after they stopped. most of them look average to me. some even look small. there are exceptions..

Fact is most guys even the pros without roids, hard training and diet would look like absolute average people.
Pictures of Bodybuilders Before and After Steroids

Roids make the difference.

problem with that link is that those guys in the before's were YOUNG. every single meathead on this board at one time weighed 120 pounds as teens whether it was at 12 years old or 18 years old. its not like their training in the before's were close to the afters. i have showed my current gf's pics of me when i was 15 and they don't believe me that its the same person cause i weigh almost 100 pounds more today. its called years and years and hours and hours in the weight room + a lot of fucking food.

EVERY meathead on this thread can put up before and afters and it would be like night and day too.. so what? i will have to dig up a pic of me when i was 15 too.

then prove it sir. go and run a ton of 'drugs' and go pro.

some of you in this thread act like steroids are magic pills or something. i think i will go and juice up and get into the NBA or NFL. i'm sure i will be as good as lebron if i run 4 grams of juice a week

Yep. If it were all up to grams of gear, like 80-90% of the bros on EF would be pros. I guess they just aren't running high enough doses? Up the dose!

Again, genetics make you or break you in the BBing world. I watched a Yate's interview one time; he said he didn't take that much gear at all. He said, but he new the gear he was using was "real," and that the main reasons why even the other pros take crazy amounts of gear is because it is under dosed, or even fake. I'm sure there are people on this site who have the potential to become a pro BBer, but I'm convinced the majority of these folks never used "totally real" gear. Because after reading some of their cycles and seeing their physiques is just mind-boggling to me.

People say genetics but Jay Cutler did NOT have genetics. He was a fucking twig when he was young. Literally a bean pole. I think gear has a lot to do with it. Without gear they would not be where they are now. Plenty of the pros don't even know how to train with proper form. Have you ever seen the videos? Lol its atrocious

we all were bean poles when we were young. you think we popped out of our mom with muscles? i was 115 pounds at 14 years old. now I'm 205+.. had i never lifted i still would be skinny today i assure you

he hit puberty as a skinny teen, then started to workout. and magic happened. many teens start working out and nothing happens, thats shitty genetics. guys like him start working out and build muscle very easily, lucky him. if he never touched a weight he would of never known he had that gift.

also the videos are misleading for 2 reasons. 1. pro's put out videos that highlight vascularity and the pump, they aren't worried about form, they are worried about how they look in the vids. and 2. what to you is bad form is actually a brilliant strategy to rip up muscle fibers, they aren't powerlifters so if you are gonna research their form to learn proper form then you won't learn good form and will struggle copying that with powerlifting

I have seen pictures of jay at 15 and he definitely wasn't a twig.. and I have seen Phil heath doing shoulder presses and barely moves the bar but he's an Olympia winner so who are we to criticise them..

Jay was big as a teen not sure where youre getting that he was small from. Its definently genetics, i have friends who i train with, we been training the same time, train the same way every day. But im larger.. its all about genetics

I would argue genetics has nothing to do with starting out muscular. Genetics is about growth, symmetry, bone structure.

I don't know how you can pick one over the other. It takes both genetics and steroids to get to the top. You even need certain genetics that react better with taking steroids. Look at Kevin Levrone. His body reacts very well to taking steroids. It just takes him 6 months to get contest huge. I can't post links, but look at him on YouTube under

I see natural people bigger then him when he is off steroids. Get him some steroids and he blows up in no time at all.

Pro bodybuilding requires GENETICS to win it. But to get THAT big all you need is drugs. In some forums I read that user takes 4 grams of test along 8 iu + of growth hormones and slin and gram of tren.. etc.
Consist use of these drugs over several years will yield a monstrous physique.

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned but it's also affinity for the drugs. (higher receptor acceptance). Dorian Yates had a good frame but nothing amazing. The first time he took a couple of D-bol he grew like a weed. That, in itself, is also a genetic trait.
