Help! im reading now that Tilapia is potentially bad for you. i eat this fish 3 or 4 times every day!

am i going to die... damn it...

what is the safest fish then to eat every day multiple times.

farm raised or wild??

yes, it will make a difference..

Tilapia is great but too much of any fish will build up toxins that are in the fish in your body..

You can go with chicken boob. whats wrong with that??

dude unfortunately i am getting the tilapia at Costco - it is farm raised.

I find fish easier to eat and faster to digest then chicken. i eat every 2 hours during the day and fish goes right though me.

Tilapia is on the safe list as for mercury - all this research about omega-6 fats bad for the heart seems farely new. this sucks man!!! im so agrivated. I am real comfy with my diet - now im thinking i have to manipulate again...

fish is for pusies!!! eat beef

Dude!!!

You're in Miami. Don't buy fish from Costco. Go to your local fish market. Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, Triggerfish (my favorite), Wahoo, Sheepshead, mahi, and flounder are a few that are absolutely Delicious.

I know frozen tilapia is cheap, but cheap isn't always best. Plus you can support your local economy :)

Stay away from Orange Roughy. I was eating this daily till I found out it's ranked "Worst" on the mercury list.

There is a great place for seafood if anyone lives near Pensacola, FL. Last week they had 26-30 count fresh gulf caught shrimp for $2.50 per pound! they have a website and will ship: Florida seafood,Pensacola seafood, online seafood market, shop. If you live in Miami, sometimes the local markets will have better deals, my husband grew up in Miami and had lots of wonderful seafood. I am still looking forward to trying Florida spiny lobster someday!

the website is www.joepattis.com

Gotta watch the high preservitives/soduim @ Costco too

im dead for sure...

Damn i look good though...

you know how many people still smoke knowing cigarettes cause cancer - blah blah - i eat fish, what can i say!

IMO as long as your eating a low mercury fish you should be fine. However i am not a doctor. The way i look at it is you can go online rite now and find just as many articles about red meat and how bad it is for you, as you can fish. If you dont believe me look it up your self. So who do you listen to, whos rite? They say to much of anything is bad. i say fuck it, there is toxins in everything these days even the air we breath. do your best to eat clean and call it a day. besides them Asians in china seem to live 100 years and all they eat is fish.:chomp:
