Tijuana and Graneros-Quick Question

Apparently it's now against the rules to ask for a price check now (WTF??!), even if you're asking about tj/granero prices and NOT domestic.

Anyway, how would one go about finding information on TJ granero prices? For example, if I wanted to find out about how much I should expect to pay for product X how would I do so? I'd like to find some info on what reasonable prices are for certain products so I don't get ass-raped when I go down there. Any suggestions on how I could go about finding this info. Many thanks ahead of time.

Yes I could do that. But it would be a real bitch if I went down just to find out I'm short on cash and have to eliminate a product or two from my cycle, or even delay my cycle and have to make a second trip.

I don't understand your obsession with prices in Mexico. Go down there and do some comparison price shopping. It's not like there are price controls. If someone were to give you a lowball price you would have to know where they got it, and going to some place a phantom internet friend told you about isn't that smart either. That's not what this board is for. If you want to make inquires behind the scenes I can't stop you. But I wouldn't expect too much help. This is smuggling, it's illegal, anyone that has had some success with it isn't going to share his secrets with someone he doesn't know from a whole in the wall. Go to the QV website. They list some Graneros there. Call them. Simple. Make sure you ask if they "abla englais" first. Most do.

The two most popular graneros in TJ, the one we all know about near the border, and the new one near 6th and Rev. DO NOT haggle under any circumstances. The smaller graneros off Rev sometimes haggle, but their supplies are limited.

Actually, now that I think about it, the big one on Constitution will haggle, but they carry a bunch of strange brands.

Bro, another word of warning. I'm a TJ vet, and I got my ass scalped there by the Feds on Thanksgiving.

Part of the reason that the TJ scene has become so risky is that far too many people are being far too open with far too much info.

I can't belive how many details people are providing in this thread.

And people wonder why its not as safe to go down there ....
