I feel sorry for anyone who has the misfortune of owning anything VW. I had a 2003 Passat, and it was honestly and truly the biggest pile of shit I have even seen. Shit broke on that car weekly, and everything was a complete hassle to repair/replace. I've also never seen so many recall notices on a car in my life. I have no clue how the entire line couldn't fall under CA's lemon law. Fuck Germany.
 
The last VW I had was a few years ago. It was like an 07 or 08 VW Passat 2.0T. had like 40k Miles on it and spun a rod bearing which resulted in also ruining the turbo.


Wanna know what that cost me? LOL!
 
My Passat was something like $30k when I bought it, and I probably spent at least $1k/mo on repairs for it starting about late 05/early 06.
