I think the reason we are "hating" is because he looks like a wanna be gangsta...and NOT a "professional" businessman. I'm guessing you didn't post these ridiculous pics out of your admiration for him either.

I'd be embarassed to say, "look there's my loan officer -- hey (my 30-40 yr. old professional friends and family) you guys should use him, he's great. Go ahead, trust him with your single largest financial decision. He's a respectable businessman. He'll help you through the process, he really knows this business...etc., etc." You know, how you talk up someone you're referring. People would take one look at him and think he was a gangster/drug dealer/thug/whatever - then they'd think I was a crazy fool for trusting him with my home financing. And they'd be right.

I do sincerely hope he had these pics taken as a big ass joke, and this is not how he truly rolls. I have a feeling that is the case. Having said that, it's still stupid.

If I found out the person that was going to do my loan looked like that, I'd pull my shit and go somewhere else. I wouldn't want that guy to put money in a parking meter for me.

calveless and jnev know what they're talking about. I've seen it too. And I'm starting to see some of them lose it all. It was just too easy to make a ton of money in the last few years in the mortgage biz. Those that were young and new to it just spent and spent. At least this kid bought a house...but then he bought all those high dollar cars, and guarantee he financed them (or leased). He will have nothing to show for his meager efforts in a year or two.
