Thinking about doing a competition

Hey all,

After seeing the most recent competition of nationals just recently, I feel like I could do better than what I saw on stage. Poor posing, poor conditioning, etc.

I'm not saying I know better than these people, but I think they're lack of research has let them down.

I think I would enter the over 100kg novice class (MAYBE over 90kg).

Stats right now:
Height: 189cm
Weight: 121kg (or 264lbs)
BF: 19.5% according to calipers.
Arms (bicep flex): 17.5"

I've run 3 cycles of test. 1st was sust 250, second was 2 x sust 250 and third was test cyp 500mcg.

My goal at the moment is lose some of the fat, get to about 10% bodyfat and see how I look there.

I train hard, but am a bit slack on the diet. I've got it all sorted but need to get my head into it. I feel quite fat at the moment, and so want to lose a bit, then start bulking again, and finally cut.

I'm thinking cut for 3 months, bulk for 3 months, then cut for 3 months. It's about 9 months to the competition and if I enter, I want to enter to win. I've enjoyed playing with my body but I think I should enter a comp at least once to check it off the list.

I really wouldn't mind adding a few inches to my arm size, as I think that would be my big differentiation, but I'm not sure how much is possible.

I'm doing a 6 day split now, back twice a week.
Diet is mostly protein, veggies, a small amount of carbs and moderate fats.

Anyway, any tips? Cycle ideas? Tips for arms or cutting?

All help appreciated.

Thinking of doing a log of pics, too.

First off, who cares about arm size. What do your wheels look like? People fail to understand that a show is usually won from the waist down.

Post some pics.

Why aren't you eating carbs?

Why do you feel the need to bulk for 12 weeks, cut, then bulk again?

What really does your diet look like?

Thread is worthless without those answers plus pics

You're 305, 20% bf, and only 17" arms. I think you might want to think about what you said and the fact that you think you could do better than some of the national level guys...
I agree that wheels win shows, but with what you said I don't think you are anywhere close...

Sorry 264lbs, I x 2.5 instead of 2.2. Fair enough guys. No disrespect to the guys who competed of course, I just feel like if I push myself I can do better - that's all. I have the desire to win and I have the vision.

I'll get some pics up, but I'm a bit shy coza how fat I am QQ.

Answers to first post:
Legs are big (and strong) but fat.
Small amount of carbs at the moment - about 100g because my body is quite carb sensitive. I'm eating a bit in the morning and a bit a few hours before training.
The reason for the 12 week cut now is because I'm too fat - but I'll need to get bigger for the show so I'll bulk again while running some gear and 12 weeks before the show start to cut again. I take it you think this is bad?
Diet is basically:
1 cup oats + milk in the morning, 2 scoop whey, 5 egg whites
1 chicken salad (200g chicken)
1 chicken salad (200g chicken) + small basmati rice
Preworkout whey shake + 1 Tb peanut butter (to slow down digestion of protein)
Post workout whey shake
1 chicken salad (200g chicken)

I'm not discouraging you at all bro. We all started somewhere. I've been in the gym for 15 years, 5 of which have been hardcore, and I'm doing my first show next June...

You'll be surprised how much of what you have is fat when you strip about 10% off...not to mention the 15-17% you will need to take off to compete.
