Beck was playing a Les Paul Standard at that point in his career, wasn't he?
There are boots and even French TV appearances by the "Old" Yardbirds doing "I'm Confused" back in 1967, with Page, that song was in their repertoire ever since Page heard Jake Holmes perform in New York.
