It is a fact that women judge themselves more harshly when it comes to personal appearance. So even though a woman may be smokin hot chances are she doesn't think so to herself, so pursuing a more average looking man is emotionally safe for her. As in her mind, a more average looking guy is not likely to turn on her when he is pissed saying she is fat, ugly, etc, etc, etc and won't cheat on or leave her "ugly/flawed" ass for another woman... which she isn't but SHE doesn't realize it.

Yup, being judged purely on your appearance (as women mostly are) can really fuck a body up.

Also there is the segment of women (like myself) that believe that when a man is "too good-looking" that he is a total hedonistic playa ASSWHOLE that will treat them like shit from the word JUMP simply because he can.

i think it has more to do with the idea taht the better a package i am, teh more they want to date me, while the more i let myself go (while maintaining being fun, charismatic balbalblablabla) then the more theyre like "i kinda wouldnt want to marry him...but hes fun and likes sex so...ok"
