Ever wonder why if you type in 'britney spears', or 'valium' or 'kanye west vma' - you'll get all these thousands of weirdly spelled aggregator sites which look ugly but at the top of the listings. With nothing more than maybe a pick a couiple sentences and thousands of links?

Russian Affiliate Industry. Or basically spammers that infect your computer with malware, run bots grabbing new weblinks, use fancy search engine algorithms to trump legitimate sites, links to scam/fake sites that will scam you (fake rolex, pills, software, etc.), install bots on your computer to email your friends on your address book and throw up popups that you computer is infected,

And they make like $5000/day most of these guys. Lots of stupid gullible people on the net who keep falling for it.

And you wonder what my fav saying is

If I didn't have morals or values - I would get into this, affecting all your computers, loading up google with a million fake sites which have links, create a million sites that steal articles and pics from legit sites (with links to my partner sites), create fake sites that promise fake shit (get your us green card here!), create fake forums and social sites and of course sending out all kinds of fake press releases that stupid journalists might grab and to top it off -- create very authentic looking popups that your pc is infected. So non-geeks get scared and buy my useless anti-virus package.

Then i'd drive around in a ferrari and laugh at everyone, ha!

That stuff is relentless. I don't automatically dump my trash b/c sometimes important stuff ends up getting sent there, Even over just the last 3 months I've seen an explosion in the number of "sex pill" emails I get.

the problem is actually in america and western europe to some degree. this is where the decision makers are.

and this is where money comes from on the web, there are tons of providers who house these entities even though it is against their sla. youd be shocked to know who the biggest offenders are.
