i have not seen the original, though i'm familiar with the main character...he was in a series called Extras funny as fug track it down if you're a fan of the dude.
but i love the usa version, one of the few shows in the last twenty yrs that i care to watch (seinfeld, arrested development being the only others for network television) and i hate when eurodutchs make comments about how americans aren't sophisticated enough to understand brit humor or gayeass soccer.
