The Official NFL '07 Pick Em Thread - KB v. MM69 (+ subZM)

Rules is simple:

- We will each pick our own 5 games (each person can pick any 5 games) from each NFL week to bet on with the points (using: http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_point_spreads.shtml )
- 5,000 k points per week to the winner, tally it up at the end of the year (payout is at regular season end, perhaps with some special playoff wagers)
- if we tie a week, the 5,000 rolls over and the next week is worth 10,000
- picks will need to be posted by 11:30am EST each Sunday. If it's a week where there is a Thu or Sat game(s), then post your pick for the early game before it begins and post your picks for the Sun games before 11:30am EST that week
- all picks should be made ON GAME DAY to avoid differences in the lines we are using


Should be easy enough. The rules are the rules - if one of us doesn't get our picks in one week then we forfeit the 5k karmas for that week.

Let it be known that Week 1 is officially under protest by Team KB. Being that MM is clearly a Patriots fan and a classless New Englander, I can only assume he is also a cheater, just like his beloved scumbaggery ensconsed (sp?) football team. I got my eye on you, son.

Let's aim to post our picks Sun morn of each week, so that we are using the same lines. If you post picks Sat morn and I post them Sun morn, the lines will have prob moved by the time I read them.

Motherfuck! Baltimore had 3rd and 1 w/ 1 min left on the SF 25. Of course they made the conversion instead of having to hit a FG to cover!!!!!! I am officially done betting the Ravens. They fuck me every time.

Alright, it's all up to Dallas covering tomorrow. Otherwise, we push and the 5k rolls over into next week.

Alright, Bub. Assuming Arizone does not score 21 points in the next 15 seconds and regardless of the NE game (since we both have em):

MM has a win and a push

KB has a win and 2 pushes

Which, by the rules Hammy and I played with, means I take the week. Let me know if you have a justifiable argument with this and we'll discuss. Otherwise, I'll take that 10,000 karmas and hit the PM circuit to get me some golddigging e-piggies
 
a push is typically a no-bet; but either way is fine; Pat and Sox are awesome and the Yankees/Mets/Giants/Jets Suck.

This is justifiable. And we never agreed to rules on pushes (which was my fault for not bringing it up).

Man, I just had a freak out moment. I set my alarm for 5am but it never went off, so I woke at 7:30 instead. But I was all fucked up and out of it when I awoke and the first thing I though (how sad is this?) is "Fuck, games just started on the East Coast, I lost 15,000 karmas".

I just woke up too - that west coast time never worked for me - I remember coming home and instead of seeing the news I was seeing prime time games. Its nice and Fall like now - leaves are changing - cheerleaders are routing on their teams; Thanksgiving day football games are coming up. I do miss the beach.
