how is it possible this thread went on for 20+ pages
who else besides cryptosporidium and puds made this thread this long

I respect them but I prefer Origin live. Drummer wise I've always liked Derek Roddy.
 
Uber obscure 90's thrash. Not my thing, but it was requested by someone else on another board so I uploaded it. Meh.

Wendy and I had a song, she hated the brutal stuff so I had to compromise. It's tough dating when you have walls of metal in your house. First time over they're always drawn to it, then they start reading some of the band names and I gotta find clever/witty ways to defend it before they start to think I'm psycho.

I picked up both Age of Winter and Gods of Earth for $10. I never heard them before that, just read some random review and thought their name was cool. They are bad ass.

I think this was recommended to me on my youtube page because I searched for that EHG vid to post earlier. Where's my Mr Yuck stickers, this band could use a few.


 
i think black metal's obsession with christian imagery while being steadfastly anti-christian is pretty hilarious. throw satanism into the mix and its a laugh riot.

Beside DevilDriver? lol

Isis/Tombs/Pelican is the only show I've seen this year that would interest you. I'm stuck in Bibleville. Anything remotely decent and heavy that comes to town I"m there. This is the reason why I will be going to Lamb of God/Gwar and then Hatebreed in a few weeks.

Some bands I've seen this year that you'd probably hate.... Hank III/Assjack, Kings Of Leon/Walkmen, OCMS, Drive-By Truckers/Dexateens, The Black Crowes, Wilco, Justin Townes Earle, Steve Earle, Jason Isbell, and I think that's it.
 
Well, Fuck., These guys are one of my alltime favorite bands

This is a way under rated stoner rock classic album

the more i hear mike's vocals the more i like them... granted a lot of the time i would prefer to just listen to the guitar grooves, but he's got the whole tortured thing on lock down.

that being said, i started moving away from texture vocals a long while back.

anyway, dopesick and take as needed for pain are prolly my favorites.
