I taught fitness/lifting classes for a while (still sub on occasion), then decided to earn my personal training certification several years ago. Truly enjoyed the work, but decided to go back to the corporate world - money, of course! I love to help others, but I certainly remain teachable!
Glad to be here!

Hopefully platnium doesn't have the same problems. If so fill out a support ticket it is only suppose to take 60 seconds in between posts.IslandGirlCo said:Thanks QT and Bunny! I will most certainly do that....
but everytime I try to post after a post...it tells me I have to wait like 600 seconds to post again? That is a long time!

My real name is Sulma, just turned 21 last month and am originally from Mexico. I"ve lived in the suburbs of Atlanta Georgia since I was 6 years old. I'm a fulltime billing clerk in an outpatient alcohol and drug treatment center, and a 3/4 time student. I'm just starting my third year and still havent decided on a major. And I just celebrated 16 months with the same guy, which is a huge thing for me, LOL.

Hi Girls,
Newbie to this forum. My real name is Jennifer and I'm a 43 year old mother of 2 girls, 11 and 14 year old. Have been back into lifting since the beginning of February of this year and have managed to lose 17 lbs of fat and can now tolerate the way I look. Just nicely hitting a plateau though.
Does anyone else ever get confused on how much or little you should be eating. Just curious.
RottenWillow said:Hola Jennifer.![]()
I'm guessing when you say "how much" you should be eating you're referring to the number of calories? If so, it makes it far easier to just plan a week's worth of meals in advance, where you have already counted the calories, then just keep recycling those same meals. Removes the need for daily counting. To maintain the reduced weight you're at now you could probably eat about 200-300 more daily than you did while losing fat.
You might want to check out the diet forum too.

Still need to lose 10lbs though ( well at least I think it's 10) I'm only 5ft 6inches so I don't think I should be more than 130 to 135, even though muscle weighs more than fat.

My name is Jen too. I recently joined and am looking for assistance in lowering bf (23%) and especially "something" to keep me motivated. I have two daughters 10 and 15 who also like to workout. Before i left my hubby of 17 years we purchased a home gym and free weights so when he left with his little 20 yr old hunny, i kept the house and the equipment - lol.
Hi Everybody,
I'm Debi - joined EF in Oct 08. Joined at 130 & the other day weighed in at 118, so something's working!! I live in Brooklyn, Ohio a small suburb of Cleveland, but live close enough to enjoy seeing the Cavs play at Quicken Loans Arena, the Browns at the Stadium, along with many many groups, singers who come to town. I have 2 girls but they can take care of themselves. A husband??? Long story - made short. He's been in a coma since Christmas Day 05, is completely paralyzed and left leg amputee. So, at this point in my life I'm lost. Always hold out hope for a "maybe" or "miracle" but it doesnt look like its in the plan. So my thoughts are, 'where am I, who am I, what do I do? Would never leave him but feel 'empty' inside. Came to EF hoping to get some ideas on how to get into shape, wanted to make some friends, have someone to chat with. Some things are working out ok, others arent. Overall, everyone has been great on EF with the exception of today - made the mistake of posting in Chat about returning from Vegas (a 3-day rest) and I got slammed by the guys there. Not a pleasant experience. But we live and learn, and we learn by our mistakes.
I am an RN and do homecare right now. Would love to move to a sunny climate but that will come in time. Would love to get to know some of you better. Have had the pleasure of meeting Tatyana & being greeted by her which was nice.
Thanks for listening to my life story!
Hi guys! I'm 21 years old, 5'7, 145 lbs, high performance athlete. I'm just here to share thoughts and experiences with other female athletes, on training, nutrition, anything that's relevant really.
Hi Ladies. I'm new here. Wanted to say HI. Thought I'd keep my free time focused on fitness and not tv. Hoping to learn some information and maybe share a little too.

Makes me wish there was a real Dr House here, he'd love the puzzle & I'd deal w/ his crap if he could give me an answer besides "I don't know". In the mean time I keep working hard & hoping it will help! LOL
