theres only one area/neighborhood iv been in where i was honestly scared for my life.nycgirl said:Actually. D.C. is not the city it use to be and a lot of those "neighborhoods" are going through a Renaissance period. There are a lot of development plans in the works. And thanks to that the lovely Supreme Court decision, the city will be able to grab more land and hand it to developers, thus expediting the rebirth of D.C.
To answer your question, likely we will stay in the Northwest D.C. neighborhoods (i.e. Dowtown, Georgtown, Adams Morgan etc.)

DC is nowhere near as bad as it used to be.
Now that I have my major projects out of the way, I'll probably show up for the strong man comp.
I have no idea where we can meet up in DC.
If I had a better idea of how many would attend, I might set up something at Zaytinya.
well, if by right parts u mean the dangerous parts, then yes, i try to avoid those areas....but i did end up in one accidentMrMakaveli said:You haven't been to the right parts
August 6th eh? Hmm...
Lumberg said:NYC girl--why wouldn't you attend the comp? It's fairly laid back. Just hang out in the bleachers and get as close, or stay as far away, as you want.
I know MTSW is all about the tony gatherings, but I am not. Graham said via email that they will have a grill going so burgers and such for sale, and said to talk to him and he'lll let us know what eateries are around. This is an outer suburb of DC, so going back into DC proper is going to be inconvenient for a lot of people.
