The DC Area meetup is hereby announced! (For MTSW) AUGUST 6th!

Are you guys gonna car pool and go on nice scenic tours of those lovely inner-city DC neighborhoods in the late evenings??? :)

Actually. D.C. is not the city it use to be and a lot of those "neighborhoods" are going through a Renaissance period. There are a lot of development plans in the works. And thanks to that the lovely Supreme Court decision, the city will be able to grab more land and hand it to developers, thus expediting the rebirth of D.C.

To answer your question, likely we will stay in the Northwest D.C. neighborhoods (i.e. Dowtown, Georgtown, Adams Morgan etc.)

You haven't been to the right parts :p

August 6th eh? Hmm...

Now I just may bet there! Plans are changing. Marshallmadman may just be in D.C. on the 6th. Wow! It will be totally unbelievable to meet all these characters live and in person. You develop an image in your mind of certain members based on their posting style, and what others who have actually met them say. It's always funny how different they actually are as opposed to that image you develop of them.

WORD!

DC is nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

Now that I have my major projects out of the way, I'll probably show up for the strong man comp.

I have no idea where we can meet up in DC.

If I had a better idea of how many would attend, I might set up something at Zaytinya.

I'm not attending the competition but I'm definitely available for dinner or something Saturday night. Dinner @ Zaytinya sounds good to me. Freeballin, do you still have my number?

NYC girl--why wouldn't you attend the comp? It's fairly laid back. Just hang out in the bleachers and get as close, or stay as far away, as you want.

I know MTSW is all about the tony gatherings, but I am not. Graham said via email that they will have a grill going so burgers and such for sale, and said to talk to him and he'lll let us know what eateries are around. This is an outer suburb of DC, so going back into DC proper is going to be inconvenient for a lot of people.

Knigga please...the skywalker is equally comfortable at all gatherings.

Looking forward to it.
