Im just coming to the last couple weeks of my first cycle ever. What a fuckin roller coaster!! Had researched and planned for months on end, IT was perfect, and nothing was going to stop me from becoming the monster that I know I can be.
I get my gear and it was off to the races. Then a friend begs me to let him have some of my gear and get some more down the road so he could cycle with me. I Agree(I know, dont even say it. He's my boy, whatcha gonna do?)
Beginning of the second week, I bruise a rib and his grandma dies. Puts both of us out of the game for two weeks. First shot wasted.
A couple weeks go by and I decide to start the cycle over. End of the first week I drop an 90# dumbell on my chest pressing and bruise another rib. I decide to be a man this time and train through it, however painful it might be.
Three weeks later I'm up 10 lbs and almost fully healed. But being the unlucky motherfucker that I am, I get tendonitis in my wrist, strain my knee, and run out of gear in the same week!! (Well, running out of gear was probably a good thing in the long run because it forced me to hunt for a source, and the one I came up with is ten minutes from my house, sells only human grade gear, and his prices rival international sources.)
Three more weeks pass, wrist still hurts like a bitch, but the knee and ribs are fine. So Im in the gym yesterday and strain my fuckin shoulder doing incline dumbells. FUCK ME!!!
I have two weeks left. Five injuries later, Im up thirteen lbs of lean mass, no water retention and my strength is through the roof.
Believe it or not, in all of this incoherent rambling, there are some lessons to be learned:
1. While muscle growth on AAS is extraordinary, it DOES NOT strengthen tendons/ligaments. If you're not careful, you can ruin a perfectly good cycle
2. Dont start a cycle without ALL you gear(there, I said it!) Trying to find that shit is a pain in the ass, and I can only imagine what it would be like trying to mail order it mid-cycle)
3> Dont drop 90lb dumbells on your chest while doing bench presses. It hurts!!
Well, thats about all I have to say, and if you've made it this far, kudos for having an attention span 25 times greater than the avg American.
