We have been deloading for the last week and a half and will continue with the lower intensity stuff for another few days to let the cns and joints heal. Then it is on to a circa max.
Hopefully I can get my hip healed, and we can start pushing heavier weight soon. On a side note pillsbury has increased his flexibility and core strength a shitload since we started training...he was doing no-no's with weight that I have seen him struggle with gear and barely to parallel. He is getting a lot stronger.
ME LOWER 6/2/2003
Worked up with NO,NO's below parallel worked into a set of 4
My progression:
10
10
8
6
5
4
next pills did sumo deadlift for form and I did StiffLeg Deadlifts
10
10
3x6
We then had fun with sinlge leg squats (Basically split squats with the barbells not db's):
3x8
We then did some evil thing called the sumo walk which consisted of walking forward and backward with kettlebells only every step was a roundhouse kick...very hard on the balance and ego
Next was my personal favorite ab exercise: the tornado ball
It is a 12 pound rubber ball on the end of a rope that we swing as hard as we can, back to the wall, trying to not let the centrifugal force pull us forward on our faces...it builds incredible explosiveness in the obliques, and I highly recommend them to anyone who trains for sports especially martial arts
Here is I trying to stay back:
Here is the doughboy, form is getting better....still ugly though
