Testosterone and Women...a caution

Slapaho said:
Well, therein lies the problem with aas use. I do have a script from him for the gel so if I go in whining about how I can't get off of it he will say "why would you want to". I would like to hear from younger women who have used it and hear if they had any problems coming off.

Mostly likely it is my old age. The one thing that has changed with the test use is unbelievably heavy periods. I have to wear a super plus tampon and change every 30 minutes for the first two day and back it up with a pad. The first time it happened I thought I was bleeding to death but that is just how it is. My period is shorter in duration, though.

Slapaho,
This is a little confusing to me. You mean you have heavier periods whilst being ON test??
I always thought test would lower estradiol levels, but by what you're saying (if my interpretation is correct) it looks like the opposite is true.

I myself have used testosterone undeconate 40 mg caps for about half a year now. I didn't really effect my periods. Started using testo-gel (Andractim) a few weeks ago in a very small dossage, too soon to tell what effect it will have on my periods. I'll try to reply again later when I've upped the dossage. However, the gel is definitely toning me up!
By the way, I'm 37.

Cheers,
