Test only gains?

Just wondering what kind of gains some of you guys got on a first test-only cycle and what you kept with proper pct.

I am 40 and I am at the end of my 8th week @420 test-e/wk, I will continue 4 more weeks and then nolva as pct. Diet is pretty good and have gone from 5'8" 185lb to 204lbs so far and started at 12%bf. Strength is better but has always been pretty good(>370 bench, >400lb squat and deadlift). I know water retention is responsible for alot of the weight but not sure how much.

Any feedback and responses are appreciated.

Those gains sound about right to me. Are you unhappy with your results? How much were you hoping to gain?

I am not unhappy and I really didn't think I would gain what I have. I just wonder about how much I will be able to keep and how much is water. I did this cycle to really see if the added test would make me feel better overall and it has. I believe mine was a little on the low side to begin with but my doc is old school and really didn't want to discuss it. I was also at a big standstill in the weightroom.
 
That is about what my first cycle was like, when I lost the water weight I was left with about 5lbs of quality muscle. My caution to you would be not to get discouraged when the strength starts to go after you end your cycle.

What you keep depends upon your PCT and how you continue to workout and your next cycle.

Don’t workout, don’t start a cycle, you will lose it.
 
I am 5'8 and 195. My first was 500mg/week MT of testosterone enanthate and I kept about 9lbs of muscle and lowered body fat. This was 2 months after last shot. I was very pleased. I used clomid and nova. I also did Clenbuterol 2 on 2 off and ate a lot of quality food. I lessened my workouts so I wouldn't over train. I also did T-bol at 30/day for 6 weeks for my next cycle. I ate clean and trained hard. I ended up with no bloat whatsoever and about 5lbs of solid muscle....lost bodyfat as well. My diet was 400kals/meal 6 meals/day and I cheated once a week for one meal. I wasn't trying to bulk.....this was for both cycles. I'm about to try trenbolone E.........

Yup, what he said. But start preparing yourself mentally to lose a lot of that weight and strength. Even if you only keep 5lbs, thats still 5lbs you didn't have before.
 
I will continue to workout as hard as I always have. I plan to cut after this cycle and I may do another one like it the first of the year. That mainly depends on what I keep and if there is a noticeable difference in the way I feel after these 12 weeks are up.

Back when 1st started AAS i made great gains off of 500mg wk TEST E or SUST.
