its not unheard of.

however I bet your diet is the main culprit

It's dietary. Eat more fiber and up your water consumption.

I feel constipated my entire cycle, diet is impeccable, 2 gallons of water, plenty of veg, copious amount of protein.

I think it does contribute to slow bowel movements.
