Just looking for some feedback on my fitday log.

The links are for screen caps of my fitday. Also I added a picture of me from June 22 and one from Oct 29 I think the date was...

Feedback on the diet would be great

Currently doing 5x5, I take in circa 3K calories on training days, circa 2200 cals for off days.

5'7
188
Training off and on for about 6 years
as you can see I do get back into shape relatively quickly but now I think im at a point where stuff needs to be as close to correct as I can get to continue making good progress

*edit- I'll add my current supplementation too:
Glucorell R as needed
multivitamin in morning
Glucosomine morning
Propecia 1/2 tab morning
Protein- Optimum nutrition whey (ON protein), a casein/isolate blend for evening before bed only(PM Protein)

thanks

Kinda strange you actually hit 3,000 calories even..

Why take in 800 less cals on non training days..I would rather take in more calories on my off days to help recovery..I assume your goals are to cut..I think with that calorie cycle you will cut bodyfat, but slowly (which isn't a bad thing)

Obviously you could clean up your diet more, but it is a matter of what your overall goals are. If you want to attain 7 or 8% bodyfat you need to clean it up drastically, but if overall fitness is your goal just keep ratios in tact, calories in check, and it moderately clean (like you have it)

other than the burrito/chilis... what would you suggest I clean up.

Those are single meals so that is a Very easy thing to eliminate. Other than that I honestly dont know how much cleaner i could eat..?

thanks for the response btw :)

Still assuming you are cutting I would eliminate:

Fruit juice
Milk
Whole wheat muffin (replace with oats/whole grain brown rice)
Panera turkey
obviously the burritos
replace the banana with an apple maybe

There was a time where all I really ate was:

Chicken
Oats
brown rice
brocolli/green beans
walnuts/almonds (for healthy fats)..or some alternative healthy fat
protein powder
eggs

boring as hell, but it accomplished what I was going for..obviously there are plenty of other things that are considered clean but generally things high in sugars should be avoided..

eat a lot of complex carbs and lean proteins.

your diet is pretty clean aside from the cheat meal here and there (which is ok if kept to once or twice a week)

I really appreciate you going through my logs that thouroughly (picked out the panera turkey! LOL)

I def see what you are saying and I think there will be a time im ready to completely eliminate all that stuff. I have considered even cutting for a competition when I have added more mass to make it worth it.

I think for now I will keep it rather close to where it is, not going crazy on cheat meals and just keep adding some mass while losing a shade of fat here and there.

btw... I switched out the juice for sugar free alternative :) but i have to say i love me some cranberry juice in the AM, and so do my kidneys!
